Any disadvantages of dex/int mages?

I am currently at the roads of making another mage after the loss of my bear acc :( my first mage os str/int are there any disadvantages of making a dex/int mage?

Dex/int mage lose mana extremely fast. When you use mana shield, you're going to run out amost immediately. You do high dps dmg, but lower skill dmg, as int makes the skills more powerful.
