Skull Bracer of Presence

I finally got a sheild I'm qualified for as all Int mage. Skull Bracer of Presence. but it wont let me ware it with my staff. I thought maybe i because my staff provides armor, so I tried one without any, and still no dice.

why can I ware a arm shield?

Staves are two-handed, so you can't hold a shield with them. You need a wand if you want to be able to use a shield.

Think of it like this. A staff is a 2 handed sword, a wand is one handed, and a bracer is a shield. You can only wield a bracer with a one handed weapon, like a wand.

Ah, I think I may have one of those. It will probably be better than playing without a weapon like I just did!:eek:

Now I'm frustrated. I have all these Imhotep eyes with up to 22 armor points. only I can't really use them without giving up 25 or so damage points using the wand. I need more armor esp going into the final rooms in AO11. (mostly because there are almost everyone is playing mages. with so few tanks everyone stands at the entrance. I get board so rush in only to be pommelled.) Of course I need the firepower also.
