Thank god. This thing was cancerous in my school. Someone had the patience and addiction to accumulate 36 hours of game time over 1 week and reach 277 points (?) whatever you call them.

I do feel bad for the creator though. He took a few hours to program something worth thousands of dollars just to get death threats from people who wasted their time.

My friend made a private flappy bird in Java and it took relatively no time compared to an MP3 player.

the developer of "flappy bird" was actually worried he might get sued from Nintendo because the tube's that the bird where flying through were a trademark of "Mario Brothers". so of course he is gonna "delete" the game, but i bet he will most likely make a new revised version of flappy bird with new obstacles to fly through!

No legal matters were the reasons behind the removal of Flappy Birds as he has said and tweeted on Twitter. "I just can't take this anymore" would be pointing to the fact that he was suddenly put into the spotlight and put under a load of social stress because of unforeseen popularity in Flappy Birds. Death threats wouldn't help that any more.

Perhaps he won't and that "fame" is actually getting to him.
It wasn't a marketing technique, and he'll never reopen the game. He isn't proud of his game, and has good reason to not be proud of it.
The entire game was a stolen idea from the hundreds of helicopter games that came out before it. Nothing new was used, and nothing honorable.
