Pally gear question

I'm about to be level 45 and I've picked up a set of str thoth. I was wondering if there is a better set of gear ill need to get once im 50 and is there a *ranged* weapon I could use as a pally?

Yes once your 50, or even at some levels between 46-50. There are some Battleforged and Rageborn gears you can use I believe if they have lower levels on them. When you actually get to 50, your aim is for a Rift set.

And no, the only ranged weapon you could use with no dex is probably the lowest level bow. I think. lol

Wand needs int too, so unless you have int, you can't use a wand. And if you do want to use the level 50 wand, your gonna need to use the whole int set instead of the str set. Which doesn't really make you a pally anymore. :P

Being able to switch between str/int level 50 gear is called dual spec-ing.

Yes, you can only use full str items or only int items, you can't use both at the same time unless it's very low lvl items.

Say I wanted like 150 str and the rest into int. Would that work? What str req is rift?

If you plan in dual wielding (two stats in one char) my Lv 50 int and str Mage has I think 127 of each. I use lower level pink gear to boost up stats to equip my rift and cosmos.

150 str isn't enough for the lowest str req. of rift.

Lowest is 154.

To dual stat, you'd need at least 126 of Stat A/B to dual stat with. Using the 126, you need lower level pink of stat A/B to add +28 to equate it up to 154. Thats 4 pieces of +7 lower level pink gear.

What I'm trying to acomplish is a character that can do almost anything solo. What's my best way of doing this? I assumed it would be a mage with high defence.

From my experience it goes :

1. Pally
2. Int mage (if you know how to play it well)
3. Dex bird
4. Dex bear
5. Strength bird
6. Strength bear

Again it could all vary on how well you play your character and know your skill usage.

Tbh right now I'm all int and eveything seems to be easy to own. My brother plays as well. We're both pure int. Wit the 2 of us nothing has been a challenge so far. I've done everything up to ao2. What made me want to make a pally is I did get one shot the other day. Could have been lag but none the less it sucked. I was hoping having high armor would fix that. But since your saying a pure int mage is right behind the palmy I might just stick with that. I <3 my mage!!
