Nightmare is more important to have. Higher ms makes it so you lose less mana from it and you already have enough mana regen at 51 usually to recover the mana lost from 1 ms easily.

max debuff and fire ice and drain heal and light you should be fine and buffs just get a mm set (wand)

If your a good kiter, I'd try out l51 royal helm n armor n RR xbow. It sounds cray cray but I have seen some insane mages with it.

Sewer queen or sewer king, not royal. Royal would be bad on a mage as it has zero mana regen and so does rr. I'd say its probably sewer king and when I did it I used sewer queen.

had a 51 for few years, rr is better if ur more skilled mm is easier if u dont know the more advanced mechanics

I used to be a recurve mage with full RR, it was pretty fun. I'd have to say that I'm a pure all the way though :)

I prefer MM wand set, more skill dmg, armor, and I believe regen. I use a shadow set for like 20% more hit and 16% more crit, but since I'm pure int it kinda defeats the purpose of being pure int.
