item type idea: double blades

basically a faster version of a 2h sword, little bit weaker. gives a little armor too.

(ps i mean for all double bladed weapons, not just this awesome example)

Sounds awsome, and FluffNStuff I agree totaly that would be sick. And also its quite nessasary because atm daggers are wayyy underpowered, not to mention you have to get close to use them. I think that if you could dual equiptthem they would be actually useful for some players. JustG, would it be very hard to use the motion for something else for the left arm so you dont have to make a new one? Because even with two of them, people would still use other weps as well, but there should be a point in having daggers.

Looks awesome, but I'd say...

Medium fast speed - 1.8 - 2
1 handed
Medium damage 95-105
Gives 3 bonus hit (no bonus armor)
Proc when combined with rage: increases crit +15 decreases enemy dodge -10. Neither stacks.

That's one option... Or if you like 2h...

Medium slow speed - 2.4
2 handed
Medium high damage 180-210
3 bonus armor, 3 bonus hit
Proc: same as other one.

Which one you like?

I think it should be held like a spear, and have a combination of sword and spear strikes. It could have a proc to swing twice.

My vote is high speed, and low damage, leveling to high dps, with the execute debuff. Like a 2H vibra with 2 ends. The weapon would need to be fast since that's one point of the dual blade.

finally someone who supports speed. needs to have some sort of different debuff IMO though, since a 2h should not be completely subject to low damage. some sort of armor debuff, or knockback (!) so ferocious an onslaught it forces peeps backwards

I think quick is a god thing, maybe the the proc could be to attack with the other end in the same move?

No knock back IMO, stun, or a root proc with dodge and armor debuff IMO.

A big polearm weapon (like the Dual Shock Blades suggested above) is also very interesting to me.

I say dual daggers first... then a twin-blade polearm. :)

Dual daggers! Banned and I are thrilled! But please fix the bug where if bleed proc kills the opponent in pvp no kill is rewarded (may be in pve too)

shame he wasn't talking about dual weilding daggers... in PvP would be sooo fun. you wait untill the enemy are fighting, then root them and charge in dealing heaps of damage. would be fair in PvP because you have to get close and little armour, and it would be fair in PvE because a lot of boss's aoe, plus you would have to watch your agro.

it's nice to come into a thread and see approval. I feel thrice-pro, tally ho!

note: is it just me or do people feel that we should continue the "shock" weapon line? kinda feels like a good term for "Top-class" weapon... if PL takes on that AWESOME idea of throwing spears somewhere above me, i might actually prefer to see this as a dex version of shock lance.

And I don't see how this particular weapon would be dex isntead of str. The double-daggers makes more sense.
