There is a difference between mynas generation and:
a) A new player that has made it to 50
b) An alt that is not played as much as your main.

The reason I say this is the majority of kills I have have, and most oldies have, are kills from farming 'At the highest level'.

BTW, I have a bird at level 45 with 5000 Kills. Leveled it the normal way, but just never really played it in AO2, so all the kills it has are from leveling. Is it a ~noob~?

Also, my mage only has 8890 Kills and she is 50, but again, did not play much in AO2 with her.
On the other hand, my bear has 17,500 kills. Played a bit of AO2 with him.

Just in case you are having trouble identifying Mynas noobs, the first thing you need to do is check that Fathom Crypt and Lost Expedition Quests. A TRUE Mynas Noob has NO Fathom or LE quests done because a TRUE Mynas Noob does not even OWN Fathom Crypt or Lost Expedition.

Not true imo, what about people that came before quests and hit the cap and didn't do quests? :rolleyes:

I know healerwin is a mynas gen, no joke, he was lvl 30 one day, no joke the next day he was 44. Volcom is the same story, Tuffas is I think since he was in crush the keeper (I wasn't host sadly lol) and he asked how he could rev......

Those are definitely power leveling noobs, and while that is bad, it is no where near as vile as the True Mynas Noob. The True Mynas Noob are the people that joined the game, and ONLY bought AO2 so they could skip everything and have their friends power level them from 1 to 45. These True Mynas Noobs have no idea whatsoever how to play the game, and have not had to kill ANYTHING for themselves or work in a TEAM until they hit 45, which meant playing with them was a complete and utter disaster. You would join with them and they were 45 and the only skills they had were the four you get by default, and if they had more, they had no idea what they did. It was a complete nightmare in the history of Pocket Legends, and must never be forgotten. ;)

My level 50 bear has only 5200 or something kills, however certainly not a myna gen. I've completed every single level of every campaign, every quest (except the fn which in workin on) and have NEVER (on my level 50 char) joined a game that was outside my level range (not kidding). Didn't join alien oasis until level 35, even though swamps were much harder.

So 5000 kills is not a myna gen...

Eh, IMO, on a main it's pushing it. Not necessarily a mynas gen but a power leveler in some instances. Well, it is a bear, which mages are the biggest kill thief ever;) my level 50 tank has the least amount of kills out of my lvl 50s, with 5.6K or so. M

Losersss is one of the people I always boot now bc I played with him once and he was awful. Don't even remember why he was awful, but I remember it was bad enough that he's on auto-boot from my games.

I farmed zyla at level 22 until I had about 400k. I know I know It was counter productive on my part but back then money was king :D Level did not matter if you didn't have the gear.

I didn't, but when I was a noob I thought Cosmos was gonna raise (Which I was right) so I tried getting it before lvl 50.

Well..am i a myna gen? ;) my mage is lv50 with like 13k kills and i dont realy even farm in fact im never realy on him. Im lvling another one of my chars. lonecub is lv29 with i think either 700 or 800 kills i dont remember but im lvling him in all of the dungeons i move up when i cant get any more xp. BUTT!!! I am using xp pots on him..

XP pots don't really mean anything to being a noob or not :p. Even with pots you will have more kills than myna gens if you play through the dungeons.

Like I said, I have completed every single level and every single quest except the two FN ones. And I have never joined a game outside of my level range on my main.
That is the complete opposite of a myna gen. Yet I only have 5200 kills. Not sure why, maybe because ao3 kills take longer than ao2 and swamp kills.
But anyway, this is a stupid thread IMO. can't say someone a myna gen cause they only have 5k kills.

People who powerlevel from extremely low levels to level 50 in just crush the keeper. (Generally skipping all the dungeons inbetween.)

Theres too many gens to keep up with :p. Theres the ipad gen, droid gen, myna's powerleveling gen, oldbe gens, ect.

Its called Mynas gen because it has become a trend recently. So when you see a noobie high level player you just assume they found out from someone else to powerlevel to level 50 in highlevel maps.

Lv28 ( all quests though for some reason can't do elite quests 0.O) mage with 4k.

You need to achieve level 30 before elite quests become available.
Bears usually don't have high killcounts simply because they are ment to tank, not kill. Mages also steal kills like crazy (Used to be birds before rebalance). If you are concerned about your killcount, you can raise it fast by soloing crush the keeper.

Btw thanks for that on elite quests. I've skipped them on all characters- look kinda tedious, but I have plenty of other characters so not interested in hurrying this one along. The 28 is going to be my lv45 ao2 playa

I have been accused of being mynas gen before...because on my main I have like 3.8k kills...but I played throughout the whole PL campaign it's beyond me how I ended up with 3.8k kills...

The term Mynas Gen was coined by Royce to describe players that were power leveled or just constantly ran a section of AO2, called The Tombs of Mynas, hence the name, there were literally hundreds if games of this map, which was run through to a certain point and then rerun, and full of pleveled players with no clue.

OMG, Draq, that's a lot of playing. Mynas, as far as I know, really refers to those pleveled players who have no clue. That would be that level 50 bear that asks you how he can rev...

And *shiver* yep, they're still around. Just go into a PUG. The ones where the group finds whatever level it is REALLY difficult has one or more Mynas in it, not doing anything. Or the ones that almost never combo. VERY easy to tell. I'm not even sure why someone would play a game and not explore each dungeon at least once...

My poor bear, my 3rd level 50, also suffers from kill deficiency: only 6691 kills. I'm not sure kills matter a huge amount if you know how to play and use your skills, but bear baby has always lagged birdie and mage in kills.

I try to give the Mynas-gen groups a little time, but generally, after a corridor or two, it's just Mega-painful. Ick.

Well, Am I considered a mynas Gen? I completed all quests on my Old Main and deleted him as his build sucked and trained Lawgiver. I hate to do LE and Fathom quests as they take a lot of time, which i never have, to complete. I was talking to Mrs B two days back and she was questioning whether i am a Myna Gen O.o Dont laugh at me guys, i used to play back when Ao2 was cap and when paladins were overpowered, so i didnt really get any kills, roughly 3,204 kills. and i prefer PvPing with my Dual Birdie :) All i gotta say is that Myna Gens are just plain people who dont respect other players, i think, thats the point.

only my archer has 13k kills... the other chars are about 6-7k... i leveld them up faster to switch to them in dungeons.. i think many ppl has not many kills on theyr secondary chars...

but true that with my mage iam not so practiced than my archer...

It was awful, and the worst part is they multiplied like rabbits. They would get their friends to join the game and just buy AO2 and power level them, who would get their friends to join the game and just buy AO2 and power level them ..... AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!
