Suggestion - make the "related topics" on forum show only current threads

There have been a ton of threads resurfacing recently that are from over a year ago. If the "similar threads" highlighted at the bottom of each topic page only showed topics from the last 3 months, it would avoid this kind of thing, which usually happens unintentionally. Most people don't look at posts dates when they read a thread, so it's annoying to find out the forum is feeding you topics that are severely out of date.

This shouldn't be difficult to change, as most forums have controls to dictate what shows in that section.

Since there's no locking on threads when they stay inactive for more than three or four months, if something new can be added it should be allowed.
Or you can use the advanced search. Practically the same thing with looking at similar threads but you have the option to filter stuff like date.
