Dragons are Feisty! Delaying Dragon Enclave until Mid-March

Hi everyone,

Today I want to update you on the status of the Dragon Enclave expansion for Arcane Legends. Work is progressing on the expansion; however we have more that we want to do and it won't all fit into the time left in February. So, we are delaying the expansion's release until mid March. This will to allow time to ensure an awesome expansion. That really is the bottom line for us. We hate having to change up dates on you, our customers, but we really want you to have a rockin' good time playing Arcane Legends and more time will help to do just that.

Between now and when Dragon Enclave goes live, we have some fun things lined up for you, including:


• Expect a Double XP weekend in early March to help you get to the level cap before it increases to 41, or to level up your stable of pets or alts.

• Scorch, the Mythic rarity version of Singe, to appear in the Stable for purchase.

• Elusive 4 weekend where we increase the spawn rate of the Bosses needed for the Elusive 4 Achievement for those who are chasing Leaderboard AP.

Remiem will be posting more details about the above items over the coming days and weeks. Also, we will have more details soon about items and itemization in Dragon Enclave, including the new Arcane rarity item that will be in the expansion.

Thanks for heads up. However, this can't be anything but a disappointment. I don't like feeling that I've been "strung" along, even if that was not sts' intention. :(

Already lvled in anticipation for the lvling cap. Guess it'll just be ho hum, "there's nothing to see, move along" for a few more weeks. :)

On the bright side, the expansion is going to be/ now WILL HAVE TO be AWESOME to justify this stringing around bit. We can't be disappointed twice!

Why does everyone think an item can't be a weapon? This wording is obviously being used to keep the actual identity hidden until it gets announced. Weapons are items, so are armor, helms, and jewlery. Maybe it's an arcane vanity, who knows. Lol

Before this season, it seemed like the weren't ready to release everything; I posted in a thread, "please, delay the expansion if needed. Everyone will be happier having a properly function expansion over waiting an extra week, aside from a few with truly unimportant selfish desires. We don't want a bug like when Bael II was introduced."

This is actually very disappointing news. I actually planned out my vacation from work for this very expansion next week so that I could be competitive in level capping, Singe contest, and hard-core farming. As a fellow programmer, I fully understand that reality and projected release date often don't meet up. There are always unforeseen bugs, issues, conflicts, scope creep, etc., that did not go into the original project plan.

As others have said, take your time and inject this thing full of awesomeness!

And, please, please, please make at least one of the bosses crazy hard! I love farming elites, but I would love to see at least one map where I would only enter after putting together my best group, and even then, I buy another few thousand pots because I still don't have that much confidence.

As always, if you folks need a hand or a tester, I'm always available...

Its been a month since announcement of expansion pack update,, it look like spacetime not ready with the system.

I hope new expansion is ready and not bugging anymore. Its important

A couple of my thoughts on this:

1) I'd rather wait and have a better expansion than have it released early and have mistakes in drop rates, boss glitches, bugs, etc. Unfortunately, two of the last 3 expansions suffered at the beginning due to bugs. In the Shuyal expansion we had the Undim Fields bug that resulted in the Architect Quills dropping like rain for a few days, and the price dropping all the way down to around 25k. As a result of that, the price of this item never quite recovered, and this hurt elite farming for the rest of the expansion as elite rogue dps weapons are usually one of the most desired items, yet these had a very low price and were too common. We also had a similar bug at the beginning of the Kraken expansion in Ancient Mariner Reef where you could run past the mobs and just fight the boss. Same result in that one. I'd like to see a new expansion free of major bugs. Yes, I understand there will always be some bugs, but let's hope that major bugs affecting drop rates of elite legendary items are avoided this time.

2) We've now been told there will be one single arcane item released this expansion. While that is the same as in the previous 3 expansions, we don't know for sure if it will be a weapon. I doubt it will be a helm or armor as those items are class specific, and there is no point in releasing a helm without a matching armor, and it would take 6 expansions to release all 3 sets of helms and armors, so that does not make any sense. My guess is we are looking at a ring or amulet that is class neutral, much like the previous level 31 mythic ring. Unless they decide to go class by class again, and make this expansion the first of 3 expansions with a class specific ring or amulet. Either that or we are looking at an arcane bow for rogues.

Well it's okay and fine by me.

I'd rather waiting for the expansion release because it would be something big to come up. From that way, we can get some more time to cap the pet level and also the alts. Delaying is not always a bad thing, y'know it. Sometimes you can think of doing other things while waiting for the release date. I know that this expansion is biggie, and kinda tribal. It's going to be an awesome one of course. Yes, awesome.

Agreed. Remember Elite Rooks Nest in season 1, or Elite Skull Cove in Season 3? It would be awesome for that to appear again. Just make sure that the potential prize is worth the difficulty or else people will just avoid it and only do it once for the APs.

Elite Mardrom was also quite difficult in S2. It was where you went when you were tired of Jarl and needed a challenge hehe. Or maybe it was cause I was so much of a newb back then. :) Either way, I'd love to have superb elite maps this coming expansion. We already have so much gears and special pets to make builds more interesting, parties more balanced, and runs even more fun.

On hindsight, I hope Scorch's arcane ability doesn't cause more warriors to be opted out of parties so people can make faster runs. I already feel sorry for most who keep asking for parties at km3 :(

I suspect that as with all maps, there will be level and quest restrictions.

To be honest, a level 10-16 has no reason to be in Nordr or Shuyal. If you choose to Twink, then Twink. If you want to level up, follow the story arc and complete the quests and satisfy the level requirements.

The Devs shouldn't soften these maps because Twinks might feel left out. Its not like Twinks could be competitive in PvE there, and any loot that drops has a level floor. I definitely understand wanting to get a level 10 Architect Quill, but that's the price to be paid as a Twink.

Yes, that is how this game is. Each expansion is for a certain level range. If you were lower level, you would be killed with one hit from the mobs. Brackenridge and Ydra are for level 1-16, Dead City is 17-21, Kraken is 22-26, Nordr is 27-31, Shuyal is 32-36, and now Dragon Enclave will be 37-41. They usually allow you to enter each expansion if you are a few levels below this range, but you won't have an easy time.

Also, if you aren't end game then you can never enter any of the elite dungeons. So you may want to think about capping.

I don't mind this to be the case if the map is actually extremely difficult. The problem with making such a difficult map is that it must be difficult to the point that even a pro team with full mythic/arcane gear should only be able to beat the boss once in a while, and that is after a huge struggle taking maybe a half hour to win. Anything less than that level of difficulty will result in the same pro teams farming the map over and over and over and causing an abundance of the elite gear on the market. Then the gear loses its value and nobody will be interested in farming that difficult map anymore. Another issue with this is that the players with less than mythic/arcane gear are going to complain that it is impossible for them to beat this boss. (I don't have a problem with this, but I can already see the complaint threads coming LOL)

Remember that difficult does not only mean time consuming. It means that an average team probably cannot win no matter how much time they spend there, and even a pro team is unable to win some of the time.

Hi everyone,

Today I want to update you on the status of the Dragon Enclave expansion for Arcane Legends. Work is progressing on the expansion; however we have more that we want to do and it won't all fit into the time left in February. So, we are delaying the expansion's release until mid March. This will to allow time to ensure an awesome expansion. That really is the bottom line for us. We hate having to change up dates on you, our customers, but we really want you to have a rockin' good time playing Arcane Legends and more time will help to do just that.

Between now and when Dragon Enclave goes live, we have some fun things lined up for you, including:


•Expect a Double XP weekend in early March to help you get to the level cap before it increases to 41, or to level up your stable of pets or alts.

•Scorch, the Mythic rarity version of Singe, to appear in the Stable for purchase.

•Elusive 4 weekend where we increase the spawn rate of the Bosses needed for the Elusive 4 Achievement for those who are chasing Leaderboard AP.

Its quite simple suggestion 1-2/3-4/5-6/7-8/9-10/11-12/13-14/15-16/17-18/19-20/21-22/23-24/25-26/27-28/29-30/31-32/33-34/35-36/37-38/39-40/41

Leaving 41s in their own bracket is fair considering it took forever to become 'elite'... it should be considered elite. Also seperating 7-9 will bring much needed balance back to pvp... half geared 9 and 10s simply overpower 7-8 with gems alone... i wont mention 9s hellish gear or 10s tarlok gear which has extremely diffrent stats. The besg 8s can get up.to 63 dps w/o sacrificing.health... a 9 can.get around 74 dps.w/o sacrificing.health... and if.they go.full.dex we are talking 80+ dps. Its simply way too mucb for 7-8 to handle.

I think that the problem with your suggestion is that for many of those brackets, people could wait hours for a game to develop. I think the current system is more geared to make it easier to find a game to play.
