He will be. If you can save for glacian tho i suggest you do. Hammerjaw imo is one versatile pet so he can really be useful to any class :p

Until these older pets receive a buff, you'll be fine with other legendary /mythic pets!

Hammerjaw ist the "cheapest" way to get the Arcane AP.
Otherwise I would use slag or abaddon. Valkin ist good too and for free.

Don't know about scorch, yet. Maybe shield ist good for tanking/keeping your party alive.

if you want a shark for a tank i'll suggest Ripmaw. He has the exact same passive as HJ and his arcane is useful for keeping enemies under control and has a short CD. Ripmaws Happiness bonus is very well suited for a warrior.

Other pets for tanking: Abaddon, Malison (his AA is very handy), Prance.

I'm currently leveling my Scorch, but as I suspected, it is really a great pet to keep a shield on your party members, and you can see how effective your tanking is simply by the fact that their shields should last the entire duration (approx 10sec) of the shield. Your shield however, does disappear in 1-2 seconds. Works well with HoR though.
