This is my suggestion, I suggest adding some mini games. Like instead of just killing monsters in order to complete a quest, add some mini games. That way it's different from typical mmos where all you do is just grind. So for example, you are asked to mine some copper for this blacksmith, you would go to the area and find the ore vein. When you hit it(attack button to activate it, I guess) it would bring you to some sort of mini game. Depending on how well you do you get a certain amount of ores, than just complete the quest. I guess you can do this for gathering quests, but I'm sure you guys can try implementing it on other things too.
I guess you guys can do something like this for the ore mining mini game. Or if you have something else in mine you can use it as a stepping stone of mini games being implemented. (btw this is Puzzle and Dragons)
