I hear luck pots can also affect drops, but that seems less likely than device type, damage done, death on map, level, NPCs talked to, gear worn, and all the other definite stuff people have posted...

Well, I got the best idevices, so that might be why I get such good drops :O Can you say two vynxaar helms in 15 kills (conqueror and legend), yes that really did happen, I have proof too ;)

But yeah... I think that the only factor besides strange psycological explanations is the player. Some people are just lucky, and some people arent, and some people are semi-unlucky(me). Not fair, but such is life.... :(

Like my friend ellzy says he gets good drops a lot... And he does not appear to farm nearly so much as I do. (might have more than one character though idk). Luck is NOT evenly distributed amongst players. (devs fix! Y'all should graph rares dropped over time spent farming- and you will see that some people are way higher than others!!)

when me and les farmed vyx, we got only some pink helmets..
and a purple skull bracer, was sold for 10k...

Actually, Arterra, something like that happened already. The only Vyx helm that I've seen drop went to a leech, who had already agreed to give us any pinks that dropped. When he got the Vyx helm and said he's selling, I tried to call him on his agreement. Then all of a sudden he says he just sold it to the other lvl 50 for 15k. I got WTF and the guys says he called dibs. So yes, I did leave after that. And I'm not going to name names, bc that player is very popular and frequents the forums. Which is why I was so surprised. Did not expect that. If the helm dropped to him, fine, his to keep. But it dropped to the leech that we were both lvling, so don't tell me you called dibs.

Haven't seen a second one drop, but I cringe every time a leech enters the game, bc more often than not, they don't hold their end of the bargain.
