The Intergalactic Overlord Solo

Just soloed overlord for the hell of it. Had 2 close calls. My ping shot up to 7000 in the middle of the fight and my elixirs ran out, right as they run out i get notifications like crazy (somehow I survived!) :D.

Snagged a photo cuz ppl were joining and I didn't want my only solo pic to have a bunch of ppl in it.

I decided to solo him because the entire team quit because i told them to pot up :p.

Nicee... That woulda been a sick picture. How tight would it be to get a Power armor of the Rift on a solo?

He did it with barrels, He must have had so much patience. I remember with my bear I would have to damage pot and use gurgox hammer and precisely take out barrels, even then it took just about 5 minutes for a solo.

It took soo damn long. I think I coulda done the entire victory lap 2 times in the time it took to kill him.

lol, as a team the fastest I think we ever killed overlord was 13 seconds.

lol I found a good way to test how good your team is. Against King Myna's he wont hit you once if everyone in the party casts spells like mad. So I judge the quality of the team based on how much damage I take at Mynas.

Nice, I normally only farm with my friends though as I know they are experienced and also keeps me entertained since we are always messing around, hence the wipes occasionally.

Haha I've had a group tell to glitch it it's easier. I tell them Uhh I'll just solo cuz any group that has to glitch to kill Ol would take forever to do it. I can kill him faster alone with damage and tank pot most of the time in a group like that.

Some ppl invite me just to solo the bosses for them.

I remember when I first glitched it. Thought it was fast. Till ppl started getting their voids/rifts/cosmos

Or there is always that one guy in VL that refuses to pot then dies in 1 hit on Overlord and says mages suck then leaves. Oh how I love random groups.

I can't wait for them to make locked games actually require the password. The weak links in my group are usually other people's friends who I didn't want in there, but don't want to start anything by saying they can't stay.

favorite die and leave excuse everrrr... I was at crush the keeper. Some lvl 43 in junk gear joined. He got to the boss and got 1 shotted by the blast (Pre nerf) and while he was laying there he said "I gotta go take my medication" then leaves the party.
Question: Why the hell would you join a game, run to the end, and die because your typing "I gotta take medication" just to leave? xD

hahaahhah Pharcyde, thats funny! I agree.... Yeah hate the glitch as well but always allow others to glitch because not even 30 seconds into the glitch some noob throws a skill and he comes unglitched which leaves me to solo....hahahhah noobs!

haha i love when people invite me to help them kill OL and when i got out there hes glitched. Everybody still yelling no spells... i dont have time for that so I pot up and spam my skills so everybody dies and I'm left to solo =) sounds awful doesnt it.

When people tell me to glitch I say "Hell no, pot up and mob the hell out of him". Most times some noob drags him and tries glitching, so I blast the hell out of him with spells to knock him off glitch and kill him. Most times I let my team die and I refuse to revive :). They get sooo mad.

I never thought to pot up until I fell into a random speed run on VL. That blew my mind. 0_o

Now it's normal to always pot, and it blows my mind to see people say, "Nah, I'll just spam heal." o_0

Hoa, I feel so newb after reading that lol. Btw (noobish question time.) Since the nerf, can a STR Bear can solo OL with pots?
I tried Pots one time and it failed, XD. I will train my bird and try again. lol

bear is tricky considering the boss will run from you and beckon doesn't work as well as it should on him.

Mannn.... I'm at level 45... have done this level 6 times today. Every single time, we get down to just the OL and my entire party bails. I have tried solo with elixirs but I haven't figured out the trick to it yet and it's getting EXPENSIVE!!!! Especially since elixirs can only be bought with plat now. FML.

Generally only birds solo OL because their Blast Shot drops his shield...it can be done by bears or mages, but in order to get his shield down, you will have to get him near a barrel when it spawns, then blow the barrel with Firestorm or your weapon....it will very briefly drop his shield. And it will take a while :)

I've solo'd him before. I don't bother anymore since people keep rushing in and blowing up all of my barrels.
