Where is the best gear in this game is it in the platinum shop thing or out in the world. and does the ability to buy gold ruin the in game economy?

The platinum shop has better gear until a low level. 15 i think? Not sure but its only good for starting out.
And no, with the prices of gold for plat in the store, you'd literally need to spend thousands to get a huge amount. And thats just one guy. There is no reason at all to buy gold from the plat store unless your brand new and filthy rich.
Yeah getting the best gear is just killing the any compaign bosses and if your lucky you will get a Pink item which some are rare. and No it doesnt you can easily make cash when your high level and its really expensive to purchase gold with platinum
