Plat pack? Did you buy the gear using plat? Where from if so? Are you using stormstrike wand or something else?

How do you have 11 m/s? Gear listed shows 6, I assume wand is another 2 m/s +1m/s from int but thats still only 9m/s right?

Nice gear though - where did you get the helm? What dungs drop that kind of loot? I can't find any lvl 20 helms better than green.

Tbh, I don't count the pvp kdr leaderboards anymore as it is so easy to get on it, it is not even funny. I do however respect the people on the leaderboards with other positions, OR someone with a true kdr pvp ratio, instead of boosting/cheating their way on to it, by leaving and rejoining, so you don't die.

I have only played PL for 3-4 weeks. I have PvPd in various games for the last 13 years or so. I hit 50 to supply money for my twink. I just hit 20 last night and suited her up and tried her out. I went 10-0 in 1v1 so for a newb I feel I did ok so far.

That being said, I know your name from reading the forums. From what I can tell from my number crunching I have done, the biggest difference is your shield. The other armor is definately nice with the +4 dmg purps and the helm having 2mr and +4 dmg too, however the shield allows you to be all INT instead of splitting for STR to get a pink shield. Thats the biggest difference. That extra 60(53 base + 7 from shield) that would be STR is now turned into INT, which increases hit, crit, mana, Mr/s, skill damage and weapon base damage. The shield gives 2 mr and +5 dmg too and is only 2 less AR than pink 20 STR shield. To me, thats the biggest difference.

I havn't fought you yet, but i can say that you having that much AR with pure int build and a shield setup makes you 2x tougher. Plus with that 11 MR you can outlast other palys who have around 8 mr/s max(unless they have similar armors).

Anyways, hopefully I will be able to find some of those pieces also. I hadn't seen any pieces with much/any +dmg, let alone +4 and +5. I hadn't seen any helms above a green and NO int off hand items that are anything other than grey for another 10 levels or so. That gear is rare and since it seems Halloween themed I doubt you can obtain it anymore, making its worth unreachable for me.

All in all.. my opinion of it all(not that it matters lol) is... nice shield

I think you need to investigate your definition of "twink" AND lvl 50 is a oxymoron.

Level 50 PvP has nothing to do with skill and everything to do with a 2 second, 3 hit key mash. Whoever hits first wins.. lame

If you really enjoy pvp and actually have skill in doing it, try lvl 20. You only have 19 skill points, 95 stats and have all but 2 skills to choose from. So you really have to decide how to spec your character and what gear you will/can use. On top of that the fights last 1-2+ mins sometimes, this means its about know how to balance dmg done vs survivability.

Anyways.. do some research into that definition, k ;)

I totally agree. Lvl 19 still can be a little bit of whoever taps quicker wins though. Thats why I also like my lvl 5 twink where builds don't really have anything to do with it, nor stats, just pure strategy.

PvP is not PvP. 5 on 1 is ganking.. not pvp... 3 on 3 where 6 mages run into eachother and aoe until 1 person is left is not pvp, thats stupid...

PvP, aside from its literal definition, indicates fair odds that are based upon some sort of player skill and character building strategy and not just gear and button mashing and luck.

Its the same concept as saying "Im awesome a Tekken because I could kill you playing as Eddy Gordo." If you played that game, Eddy took no skill.. all you had to do is mash buttons in no particular order and he always did something cool and you generally won. It took no real skill or knowledge of the game to use him and you could beat people who were actually skilled because he was OP as a character. If you tried to play people with him, and you claimed to be "good", they would laugh at you because the reality was it took no skill to play that character.

50 pvp is a LOT about gear, everyone has almost every skill and even if it IS bear vs bear that last more than 5 seconds, its still more about button mashing (because theirs no real difference in what build you have) and who has the best gear. 20 pvp is less about gear/stats and more about your skill building and how well you can use those skills and time things correctly. Try it if you dont believe me, it will be more of a challenge than your 50, 2 bear punch eachother in the face until the one with better gear wins eventually fighting.....

On the other hand about the bears, seriously, if you have a 50 and want to see me match up against bears downgeared as in full destiny with a limbchopper vs full rift... I'd be more than happy to actually show you it does take skill...Now on the other hand again, yes your right about mages and birds...birds IMO are not even considered PVP...just fastest finger wins...On the mage yes it actually takes a little skill to kill others, i say this because my bear can kill some pallies, but not most. Well I dont mean that their is literally NO skill involved in level 50 pvp, but the amount of player skill that contributes to a victory(on average) is less because of the uber items and sets and high crits etc... level 20 has 80-89% hit chance, and <10% crit, etc... this means that the player skill involved in level 20 pvp is a lot more than at 50.

Not being sarcastic or mean, seriously, if you like PvP, try lvl 20. Theirs so much more strategy because your build takes a LOT more "thinking" and working out what will work. If you really like pvp, thinking, strategy, number crunching... try a 20 twink. Especially right now with 15 plat packs giving good gear, you should be able to piece together a good 20 suit for a few play and 100kish gold, regardless of your character. Also 20 is easy to get.. try it out.. you may find you like it a lot more than 50.
