View Full Version : Best way to level up quickly as a mage?

I've started a second character now as a mage and my goal is to level up fast. I really don't care that much about the quests ... I've already done most of them in my first character.
Anyways, I've been going into Desert Oasis 1 & 2 in the hopes of levelling up faster. People often boot me, but when I stick around, I think I level up faster. Plus, you can get money fast because whenever others make a kill, everyone gets an equal amount of cash. The Master Trials appear to be suicide for a level 5 mage, so I stay away. Too many ranged enemies.
Are there any other strategies for levelling up faster?
1-25 Hidden Passage 4 (Near belfort Castle)
25+ Crush Keeper
Try and ask first then POT UP

true, but it's sorta hard to find a group that would like a lvl 25 mage to help them beat the keepr.

Or you could, you know, level up like normal. Call me crazy but people still do that;)

Even on their Alts I hear people will actually go and redo their old fav maps, and level up normally! Amazing.
Who would have though? ;)

What a concept. You actually play the game, kill mobs, and your character will level up. Who would have thought. :P

Lol, agree. Nobody wants a noob running around in their high lvl group. Just do it by the quests, doesn't take long.
It takes longer to lvl if you get kicked out by others when ur lower lvl than they are

That's what I did for my two alts. I thought it was more fun than powerleveling. Nice break from AO3

Just take your 50 and help it unless it's in the same account, or if you're not willing to buy the maps again.. :)

If you have the gold, use power level potions all day. I did that, and played the game Normally, no leaching, and got to lvl 50 with like 2500 kills.
