Nub Question - Creating a New Character

I have a few questions, maybe you guys can help. ok so when you create a new character (not deleting current and starting over, but adding a new one to the same account).

Do you have to re-buy Maps, game types, or other things you bought for your new character also?
If you buy platinum, can you use some on one name and some on the other?

You keep everything you bought for maps and such. You can transfer hats and other gear using the stash. :D

There are some things that are account based, such as platinum, map access, stash slots etc. etc. Other things like inventory slots are character based. And inventory items such as gold, and armor and weapons you can transfer between your characters using the stash.
