View Full Version : NEW AO3 Cyber Weapon "Captive Shadows" quest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok, so it wasn't mentioned in the patch notes but the new cyber weapon quest is out...people in game are slowly starting to realize this however have no idea what to do for the quest. Is it bugged? Or is it sending us to the wrong map? The quest asks to defeat 25 "captive shadows" and sends you to the "Captive Audience" Ao3:3 map...my friends and I have fully cleared this map at least 15 times and no shadows yet.
Was the quest released on accident? It's very frustrating and nobody seems to know what to do. I personally thought the captive prisoners in the containers were going to be it but we haven't found a single shadow yet.
Somebody please enlighten me on what to do for this quest...thanks

The "Shadow Prisoners" are very rare spawns.
They might not show up every time you clear the 'Captive Audience' dungeon.
Ah I see...
So do they appear inside of the containers as I thought? Or randomly on the map?
Maybe need to fix the spawn rate haha...nobody I know in game has found a single one yet and it's been like at least an hour since the patch

I've given up, as we've yet to see one. Can't spend my day on a wild goose chase. If anyone manages to have better luck, please let the rest of us know.
Haha, most of my friends have given up by this point as well...we've been farming captive audience non-stop since the patch came out and 0 shadows yet </3
When the quests for the armor and helmet came out my group and I were like the first on server to get the items (5 pure dex bird with dmg+tank pot rushing vl keeper)...we all thought we could do the same with the weapon since it was only 25 but that number is so deceiving

Xiajim said he saw like three so far. But apparently he's had to rush with tank pots to even see that. Not worth it for me, sorry.

they're better rare... these items are too easy to get with people just farming them.

Aw you guys have so muh time on your hands. I still need to finish the cyber skull ques. Oh well ill grind through them tonight
my group finished cyber helmet quest in under an hour with pots and rushing lol...it was worth it since we made decent money from clearing the mobs before keeper and got some drops too
