You cheat if you scroll down to the solution!
A tricky but solvable math problem:
The mother is 21 years older than her child. In 6 years, the child will be 5 times younger than the mother. Question: Where was the father?
This problem is really mathematically and logically solved, even if it does not look like at first glance!
Please prove that you solved it with the calculation term!

In the Womb?
yep the baby would be exactly -9months
let m = mother's age
let c = child's age
m = c + 21 Mother is 21 years older
c + 6 = (m + 6) / 5 In 6 years, the mother age will be 5x the child's
Let's get rid of the "c"
m = c + 21 -> c = m - 21
Substitute m - 21 for every c
(m - 21) + 6 = (m + 6) / 5
now, reduce and solve:
(m - 21) + 6 = m/5 + 6/5
m-15 = m/5 + 6/5
(4/5)m = 15 + 6/5
4m = 75 + 6
m = (81)/4 = 20.25
So
c = 20.25-21 = -0.75
That's -9 months!

(When the baby is minus 9 months old, you can easily guess where the father should be)

Father is Six times Elder than the Child
HES ASKING wHERE IS THE FATHER NOT WHERE WAS THE FATHER
Actually "is" is correct. The "in 6 years" signifies that the child is not yet 5 times younger than than the mother, which means the present is when the mother and the father is in bed puking liquid, BUT if the question said "where was he father 6 years ago" and the present is when the child is 5 times younger than the mother, then "was" would be the correct word to use.
