Thank you everyone for participating in The Arcane Ring to Rule Them All Contest!!

It was a long one, and so many of you worked SO hard to get in every single day to get that ring. Congrats! The contest has now ended and I am hard at work filtering through and verifying the entries before awarding prizes. This will take me a day or two to do, so please be patient and the winners will be posted sometime this week. :)

Regarding the "Last Chance" given on Day 20, here's the latest on that:

This challenge was a hard one for sure, and entering 20 days was a serious feat, but entering 19 was a serious feat as well! There have been so many times in my life where I worked really hard to do something every day and missed one because of life circumstances. I've had people miss a day because of working overtime, because they were sick or in surgery. Any number of things that are just plain out of their control. No, this doesn't apply to everyone, but ultimately this doesn't mean that they worked any less hard on the other 19 days.

That being said, some of you mentioned that there is a large difference in the number of people who did all 20, and the number of people who did 19. This changes the odds quite a bit, and I can understand how that could cause frustration in the handful that truly made it all the way through and stuck with it. So...here's what we're going to do.

There will be TWO ring prizes awarded for this contest. The first ring will be awarded to someone in the pool of users who genuinely completed every single day of the contest. Then, the people who completed 19 days will be added into the pool and another ring will be awarded there. Then, Dragkin Teeth and Shards will be awarded as stated.

I believe this is the fairest way to handle things, and will reward the people who stuck with us for such a long contest and worked so darn hard to get all of those entries in on time every day.

Not that I'm unsympathetic its just i feel bad for a number of people who stopped mid way because they missed a day and had no idea there was an EASY chance to make it up. That being said, the rules were changed and this is a happy solution for those who didn't give up. Looking forward to seeing the winners and BEST OF LUCK everyone.

It would have been nice to know this from the start. I missed a day due to life circumstances, was fairly upset over it. Then I ended up missing another shearly because I knew in was out of the running for the ring. So I'm at 18 days of screenshots, and out of the running for both rings. Two gut punches .. Zz.

I get why the rule was in place from the start, and certainly appreciate you guys consideration for folks having situations arise preventing them from logging in 1 day. I'm just pointing out what I already stated, and hoping you guys choose to do different in the future, and have learned from this whole thing. Maybe do 17+ days needed to be in running for prize next time? Seems a bit more reasonable to me.

Is wrong entry also counted as "missed"? I am not sure about my entry for the 4 dragons... I am sure on all the rest of my entries but that one, and I think that's same amount of work than missed a day.

Trying to clear confusion:

People with 20 entries get a ring chance.
Then the 19 entries people get added to the 20 entries people for another ring chance. This means 20 entries people get two chances at a ring. Having the two chances GREATLY improves your chances of winning a ring.

Everyone else has a 3 chances for a shard. Honestly, if I missed a single day, or even three days, I would have continued entering each day. A shard is nearly a ring! You could sell that shard for LOTS of gold. Or just grind out teeth farming and make it into a ring yourself.

I think people dont value the arcane hard price. Add 3.5m and farm a bit for essences and u got a ring. Maybe there shud be a criteria for the shard distributiona as well. Maybe those who entered 16+ times out of 20 should be eligible for a shard.

Just a suggestion... Maybe the players who participated should get a title or a vanity or banner or something for joining in.
This would be a reward and encourage other players to join in in future events.

We had a conversation about this somewhere. As long as your character name is on the screenshot, with related IGN, you'll be fine. For example, I used my rogue for a ss (DraveRogue) but I used my IGN: Dravemage (aka DraveRogue) as an entry ss. I was informed this was okay... but you can't enter multiple screenshots from different characters and forum accounts.
