View Full Version : a suggestion for new myth items release

Ok, we all know new myth items will come live one day, so here is the suggestions:

Add mythic shard to locked crates, add 3 recipes for a different kind of myth items ( 3 diffirent amulets as an example )
So to craft one of the new amulets you will need Dragonite bar+mythic shard+recipe.
This will keep the bars and lockeds valuable and players excited :p

Hope you like it, and sorry, devs, if this is what exactly in your mind, cos for me this seems very logical. :)

This seems like a logical way forward. The problem with a new release of mythic items is that most people don't want to loot the old mythics. Releasing different chest types with different mythics inside make the original locks worthless. Using a shard and making everything craftable is a great option. Keep the same locks(lots have been hoarded) is the best way to go that won't upset the player base. Also everyone would appreciate some choice when they loot an item. Decide what mythic item you want to create. Could be mythic shards, arcane shard, and arcane pets can remain as is. Pets need to remain the same way or people would only craft Sam. The only problem that I can't work out is whether they should have different shards for different gear types(ie. weapon shard, armor shard, etc.) If there is only one shard everyone will craft the most expensive item. This will ultimately bring the price of that item down. Also in turn the cheaper items would rise until everything is worth pretty much the same. People who currently own one of the more expensive mythics may be upset if their item is only worth the same as the mythic helms. Not sure exactly how this should be implemented without making too many people angry.

Dont forget about twinks. There would still be a demand for the lower-level mythics. Those twink levels would rely on the older mythics to keep their stats up, though there would never be a superb player if everyone has mythic items. There are quite a few lvl 26, 31, & 36 twinks who pvped during that cap and decided to stay there after expansions were released.
