That's why you pick people off 1 by 1. Sometimes if I can handle it, I rush 2 people at once. But usually I rush people I don't know or recognize.

Lol shadow, tbh the only reason im not rushing is because bears r too op and mages are op too without ms... Imagine with ms

in other games its usually more than 1v1. lets say COD for example... its a massive ffa type of thing with a huge map. even if its 15v18 or something like that, it wont make a difference. but here its a really map map with only 3v3. and most of the time if you "rush" one person, they will end up calling their friends to team you.

All the big endgame guilds are like this. if you rush one of their memebers, they will "hunt" you lol

I've read threads like this in the past before I pvped, and totally agreed, I hated go already. Then when I did start I think I understood the other side also.
I think it exists here mostly for two reasons;
Seems more of a fair fight. Less rushing/teaming represents an earned kdr based on skill.
And generally pvp is so uncivil that this ritual of politeness makes for a better environment.

Now I don't totally agree or disagree either way, it exists because people see some value in it, so it perpetuates. I'm guessing why here.

I think the FFA system actually teaches anyone how to actually PvP. That is how I learned how to fight.

sometimes ppl act weird but some of them act nice. Lets take the example of me and Soul. We do FFA all the time but when we have excuses such as ping and so on we do stop. So pvp should be just like that. Also if you are in the arena , you need to be ready for everything. Thats how i started to think after meeting some ppl

Please just stop. The go system is in just about every other mmorpg in existence. Usually there is a method of challenging your opponent to a duel in open world. In this game, we don't have that option so players started asking to, "Go." Guild Wars 2 doesn't have that option either so players invented it there as well.

In the past, every person who has tried to get rid of the "go" system has failed miserably and simply caused lots of anger, drama, and problems. Part of this is because this game's population isn't very large so it takes awhile to fill up games. This means that people take full advantage of 1v3 and 2v3 situations. No one likes to play 1v3 or 1v2 for 24/7. At least no one I know.

If you like free for all as I do, I suggest you merely ask the players in your arena if they wish to free for all. You'll be surprised how many times people will agree to it.

The "go" system was created by the PL community because StS designed PvP to be FFA. As Micah said, many other MMOs use some kind of 1v1 system too. There is a perfectly good point to the go system, but there are also other people who don't like that and prefer to FFA all the time. You can't blame them for doing so, the developers never designed a way in PvP to stop that. Each system of PvP is perfectly legible, none of them is wrong. However, if a person who doesn't like FFA and uses the 1v1 system, they would just have to deal with it. All of us play this game because we like this game, but if you don't like the PvP aspect if the game, either don't do PvP or live with it. There can't be people complaining about these systems, because it's their choice if they want to play or not.

Now see, there's 2 types of rushers
1)a rusher who just shuts up and plays, occasionally 1v1ing people.
2) and a rusher who feels the need to insult, trash talk, the other player.

Now as I said before, I'm generally a # 1 type of rusher. Except those times when a person really gets on your nerves.

And about the go system, I think 1v1's just slow you down in learning how to pvp. And ofc there's that person who just 1v1's everyone. But, rushing others really teaches you exactly what your mistakes are, and you can fix them. Making you a better pvper.

Tbh, in low lvl pvp, u cant rush unless ur a op bear or a mage, as a fox and bird in these pvp lvls, I can hardly survive vs a dex 26 beckon stomp bear without a strategy much less survive against a dex bear with the support of a mage

Go doesn't suck neither so called rushing everything depends and it's all about perspective.
For example if u as bear rush a weaker int mage, and u would make a excuse 'go system suck its FFA fight or leave.

Back to the subject of this thread, I think you got this wrong Quan, most don't like FFA 1v1, or 2v2, even 3v3, reasons may very, also you must think about this, most do not use forums, therefore you're only talking to the forumers. Also, not everyone in PvP is trying to be competitive, you seen people rush before with stupid gear on, well not rush but just friends having fun, PvP doesn't always have to be drama filled, which I like, but getting rid of the "Go system" would only create a drama filled air. Not to be offensive, but you don't really have the rep, not the green bars, to be promoting such a thing, again no offense from this statement, but you should really try to boost the way people see you as a caring good person and not a too strong, heart striking bear.
