Can we have a new version of a gem?

The traditional fire, glacial, and blood gems are rather outdated when compared to the tarlok gems.

In stats, you get +6 in super traditional gems vs +8 from super tarlok gems at L41.

Now, I have a tarlok gemmed arcane ring but I still think it's rather ridiculous to have to spend 5m gemming + platinum cost.

I'm not asking for the same gem as a tarlok, but perhaps a different variety that makes us choose. Right now, the tarlok gem is blatantly better than the normal gem variety, so if you want the best, there's not really a choice.

However, there should be. I think by having a choice of a different type of gem, it would still keep the tarlok gem value but also give people an alternative if they're not willing to pay the high cost of a tarlok gem.

I'm not suggesting we should wait until they are worth millions and super rare, but how about we wait until the vast supply of them is exhausted. Last check there were still dozens of them for sale in the auction. Until we reach a point when that number becomes fewer than a dozen, then I don't see the need to release new gems. If you are trying to make money by gemming up your gear and then selling it, then use regular gems if tarlok are too expensive and not worth the premium. People will still pay a nice premium for regular grand gems.

No no no, that's not the case at all, trust me. I'm perfectly content with where I'm at and haven't really made any efforts on selling the ring besides creating a forums thread, although I denied a 110M offer despite 15m profit.

Don't worry, it won't run out, only becoming much much more expensive :)

New gem ideas.... Weapons could get elemental bonuses, Fire/Shadow/or Ice Damage, maybe even 'Life Steal' (my personal fav). Armor/Jewelery gems could get, Damage bonus(rogue), Hit Rating(warrior), Armor Rating (Magi). All could be swapped and tested in all builds. Maybe better ideas for armor gemming? But my weapon idea is solid!

I see nothing wrong with inputing new types of gems...maybe gems that even add a particular visual effect to armors and weapons.

• A gem that gives the same +8 as tarlok but spreads it 50/50? So, it would be: +4 primary +4 secondary
• A gem that adds critical value
• A gem that adds defense value

A 'leach' gem would be downright rad. Having different gems like dodge, crit, or leach would be pretty amazing and allow for more individual customization of a character.

The lack of new gems is really pretty surprising. Theres no way its that difficult. I dont think the tarlok gems should have a thing to do with any decisions to put in any new gems, we made them that expensive, by being willing to pay that amount.

How about they just increase the stats of what current gems add? Like +7 or so for lv40+ items. It already scales up with the lvl of the item so it wouldn't be hard to implement. That way the normal gems are at least still a decent option compared to gems that can't even be obtained anymore.

I was honestly surprised when we got the new cap and saw that we still just got +6 stats with normal gems... Just like last cap.

How bout rendtail gem like rentails rage gem, rentails wind gem,rentails wisdom gem could have same boost as tatloc gems.since most players killed tarloc in the winter event time for new gems have a nice day.
