The mobs are on a "tether" of sort for the most part. When they reach a certain range they rebound back to their spawn location. During this time they are invulnerable to all attacks. Could you remove this invulnerability and allow an attack to re-aggro them? It's a pain to be attacking something and have it restore it's health because someone knocked it too far away and it rebounded back restoring its health.

if you manage to re-aggro them before they reach their point, they should not recover health and they should go back to normal.

Problem is if the game does not reset the health folks will run out of the "danger zone" when health goes low and then run back in for a ranged attack... then out again... Easy exploit.

Wow. Here's an old thread. Yeah I realized that exploit which is why I didn't pursue the suggestion any further.
