If it's against ToS, they do care and will ban you.
If they don't care, it's not against ToS.

STS makes cross-game trades against TOS, which they will enforce on forums if anyone posts suggesting/advertising such a trade. STS staff certainly is not auditing gold transfers in separate games trying to detect a "trade" like the OP mentioned. So, there's nothing stopping you from doing it. There's also nothing stopping the other player from cheating you, and STS will not help you if it happens.

Advertising or engaging in cross game trading (for example, saying I'll meet you in Star Legends for an item and then give you gold in Pocket Legends) IS NOT ALLOWED!

It is way too easy to scam someone with such a trade. The only trading that is allowed is what you can do via the secure trade window in game.
