I just spent the last day and a half finishing the swagbucks offer to get some platinum, and now im wondering if I should waste 150 of it on the lep pendant package or wait and buy it for gold in-game. Thanks.

Ah, then yes. If you converted gold to plat, then 40 plat = 40k gold. But with kits, 40 plat = 100k gold.
