The new flagging rule. CTF matches (real one, flag to 5 to win ones) take too long now and people are leaving is the middle of the match for this reason. It's hard enough to try and get a room that no one has flagged yet, then get 10 people in it and have a game going.

I can't stress enough how much this rule does nothing to prevent free flagging, like has been pointed out people are just alternating who flags first.

But this new rule actually hurts the real ctf game - it became much more about gear and a lot less about strategy.

Actually is not preventing anything, this new "innovative" system only makes harder, longer and tiring the flag ap's and ctf matches and promotes ganging, spawning, blocking and all dirty way of play.

I don't know if you played ctf yet but if you want to win teamwork is needed so it's more about strategy now 👀

They host CTF matches every week. Here is what they mean:

• Flagger is about to score, but wait! The OP team stops it by grabbing the opposing team's flag! Oh crap, now instead of having to play CTF, you have to play battle of the gears and HOPE to take the flag away from the guy who is holding it (& preventing you from scoring)

This situation is archetype by me. I'm able to take the flag and hold it while an onslaught of people (excluding tanks because they drain mana considerably) come and try to kill me.

The last CtF match was a blast! To bad Parth didn't play :

Edit: FYI, the new implementation stretches the length of normal CtF matches and I think it contributes to playing CtF (real CtF) more often.

I understand your frustration. This 'new rule' is actually as old as CTF itself and to my knowledge is a standard rule in any CTF match. Arcane Legends hadn't adapted the rule and my guess would be that they hadn't because this is a 'mobile game'.. And they want to keep zones on the shorter side. Why they've opted to introduce it now I can't say really, i have my opinions on it but they dont relly matter. I doubt they'll revert it.

Now, If they would stop letting people chat from red to blue and vice versa I might actually pvp sometimes.

The problem sounds like class & gear balance. And not the CTF rules. Not surprising.

I've played a few ctf games since yesterday, the new rule seems weird. But the good feedback is we do have more fights in the game than before.
I remember players used to only flag, and no one kill each other in a game which made the ctf pretty boring. But now if both teams are carrying the flag, we have to kill the opposite team to score.

What Parth said. It's not so much CTF now as u are forced to clash, and then whichever team has best gears will win. Forget about mages and rogues flagging now because they can't sneak in a flag. You are forced to clash.

Did I mention how much long the matches take now?

Again, this is all about arranged teams CTF macthes, not random joins.

They should make a slight adjustment to this rule... The new rule should be that you cannot pick up your teams flag if the other team is holding their flag. That way you won't have this experience where you are about to score and you get stopped. Instead, once you have the flag in your possession you can score, but the other team will surely be coming after you.

I think the new flag guidelines are extremely unfair to players now as opposed to those who have been flagging and earned their flag aps, I might add, under the old system. The players who have their flags were able to obtain them without this new gameplay rule. All I meet in rooms say the same thing, it's unfair and frankly it's causing me to lose interest.

Hey guys! I have moved this to AL Suggestions and Feedback! :)

AKA: I moved it to a place where nobody will read such a silly suggestion.

This ^ is what Parf would say.

sending a thread to suggestion means it needs to be hidden from the people on the forum..usually barely 500 views on a good suggestion...and 10 replies...this sub forum should be more active
