There's a lot that you can do in PL!
Take the tutorial in game for a view on the basics, then follow the quests in towns indicated by "!" or "?" above NPC's heads. You'll start to gather more of what the game is about that way.
Add some friends that you meet along the way, level up, PVP along the way, and farm yourself some gear!
