Well, in a serious manner, it depends what class you play... there is no really "best" weapon but there is a best weapon for each class.

Best weapon is tough since it really depends on class. I have to say that new swamp rat's croc tooth sword looks pretty mean though.

The reason why daggering (made up word ftw? :D) is a bit iffy when it comes down how often dagger wielding characters die.
