I had to abandon the quest to make room for the cyber armor one. Done with all the cyber items, I retook it. Now, when I come across a bone pile, the only option is to leave it--no option to examine the bones. I tried abandoning it again, talked to the guardhouse bear and then retook the quest--same problem.
