Has anyone here ever opened an elite chest and gotten an arcane item? And do you remember how many you opened? I don't use platinum so this information will really be useful to me...thank you :)

Back in December, I opened around 80 elite golden chests at once (pirate, war and puzzlebox), nothing but junk.

Best I've gotten from elite golds is mythic mage armor back in season 4

I have been thinking that we could actually score big in opening them. Currently the most profitable are elite golden puzzleboxes (25 - 40k each)

If we could buy them at 30k each, we could open 1000 chests (around 30m) and if we loot 1 Kershal, we will break even. Other than that 1 Kershal, we could get mythic rings or amulets, and gazillions of pink items. And imagine if we loot more than 1 Kershal.

But the problems are:
1. It will take quite a long time to get those 1000 chests (you will have to monitor auction very often)
2. Even if you get 1000 chests, you still need the guts to do it. I don't have it :)

That aside you can only have a maximum of 225 inventory slots.

But there's also the chance of you looting good stuff on a double odds weekend.

My plan is to buy more elite chests after looting something good and try my luck again...sort of like buying shares from a business knowing that it will become successful.

That aside you can only have a maximum of 225 inventory slots.

But there's also the chance of you looting good stuff on a double odds weekend.

It's 500, not 225. And since inventory and character slots can be bought with story tokens, I don't think that would be much of an issue :)

Haha thanks ill try to share what I've found out though its abit sad no ones posted that they got an arcane item from an elite chest yet.

Ah wow really?! Thanks :D now I can atleast tell it's based on luck just like the locked crate system eg. My friend got an arcane shard on there first locked crate :P true story...though there has to be a way to getting arcane loot in both chests and crates ill try and find it out.

As for Crowfoots case from what you've mentioned I've calculated the average of the numbers mentioned here 39..230..and 50 and come to.the conclusion that the safest way to go is 106 of these elite chests.

It's because i can have too much money in my wallet or i will become mad so when i see 30k reached i have to buy a puzzlebox..
I like be poor this is not a job

I got Kershal from opening my 6th elite golden puzzlebox. Obviously i know that was incredibly lucky. Everytime i loot an elite golden puzzle now i always open it. Probs opened around 30 now but not come close to that one special moment!
