View Full Version : I'm Halfway Through the Game... It's getting repetitive.

The only quests seem to be one of the following: kill count, gather count, boss kill, or lighting totems, and the former two are pretty much the same thing. What I am suggesting is some more variety to the story and the way quests are completed.

Raiding and destroying a castle, or even implementing a King of the Hill style quest where in one such map, enemies would continuously spawn, and you have to hold down an area for a certain amount of time sounds pretty fun to me.

i kinda agree here even tho im only lv 14. I would like SpacetimeStudios to make it more community based too

i agreee that a king of the hill style quest would be really fun. also maybe an escort quest where you have to guide a person from point a to point b without having them die would be fun too.

They didn't actually have quests until I had three characters to level 45. So, I wouldn't leave because of quests. But a new player who knows everything and demands that the devs are idiots for not obeying his every whim, that does drive me away. (i am not referring to this thread or anyone who has posted on it, just saying what does drive oldies away.)

I'm not minding things, however I'm damn sick of the same undead castle textures. And fighting nothing but mercenaries and undead. Looks like Alien Oasis is awesome though.

We need randomized maps.. Not always the same old boring map with enemies at exact the same spot.. That wjats boring players

good idea, randomized maps would be MUCH more interesting.

True, brand new never before seen content would be extremely refreshing.
The Alien Oasis and Frozen Nightmare content for me with new enemies and bosses was refreshing and fun, I loved it, hopefully they'll release a dungeon soon that's not like the other's ;).

What about stealing a feature from WoW/other MMOs (which every MMO does anyway)...and make heroics.

Taking low-level dungeons and tuning it for level 50 with updated difficulty with rewards. Would add a bit more diversity to the late-game and always having content relevant to those end-game players.

Or get something reminiscent of Diablo and have dungeons randomly spawn a bit differently every time.

I think this will be Elite Campaign

Yeah it gets repetitive, don't worry the games new(ish). The game should really pick up when guilds, housing, and pets get added. Theres also a really popular thread that suggests a great idea like forging/enchanting.

I'm a lvl 30 entranctress and I love the game. All your ideas are good though. I have recently bought all the campains. :) Also can anyone help me? I'm working on quests for Balefort Castle. I have 26 out of total quests. I'm stuck because there are no npc's with question marks so I can finish the Balefort Campain. Any ideas on where those quests might be? Thanks. Sorry that was a little off topic. :) Any help appreciated. :)

Find Commander Blackhawk in Balefort. If you have already done them, then there are two hidden side quests in Wyldwood forest. From the bone pile and dusty miner.

I've suggested a maze that randomizes so you can't memorize the way out. And if you manage to make it to the end, there's a crazy boss with epic loot. No word from devs, though, if randomized maps might happen.

The game just lacks depth after a while.

They just need to make this game where you need to have a strategy besides aoeing everything to death.

I think they should make some elite levels that are shorter and harder. Force groups to have to pull mobs, tank, and heal. Pot spamming and battle rezing make this game non-challenging and boring. People mindlessly run into battle spamming away...and it works.

There should be an elite dungeon for the endgame players that is extremely challenging...so that you have to be maxed out, geared up, and skilled to run...so only the top 10% can complete it. Then make the drops sweet as incentive.

Seriously, I think the first time I saw an Overlord kill I was like level 37.

I hope that there's guild wars once guilds are in-game :). You would fight other guilds I suppose the capacity would be 100 or 200. Then, you would just fight each other. You would be able to use elixers and everything. You would also be able to change the location of where the war takes place. The winner of the fight would be awarded with one item. The item would be randomnly given to one person in the guild. There would be common, rare, epic, and legendary items where you only get at guild wars. I suppose there would be section for guild wars on the highscores. Oh.. and I guess you win bragging rights when you defeat a guild you despise. I suppose it's kinda like RS, but I loved clan wars :D.

They said a lvl 50 elite dungeon is in the works. But I don't think it'll be enough to fix the problems caused with 1.5 and the cyber quests. The economy is now dead, and there's no reason to farm anything. Bears are useless now, no teamwork is required, and bosses are too easy. An Elite dungeon may solve some of those problems, but not all.

Agree for the elite needing a challenge except there should be no sweet drops. Those just make the game too easy. There should be crappy drops or negative drops, like randomly losing your equipped gears to really separate those that can spam tap their skills like champions from those who merely tap at their phones like maniacs.

Have u done OL lately? I think and your party of level 37's may have gotten your wish. Welcome to the one hit. Potted? Ok, two hits.

I really don't get why y'all think it would be great to Jack the difficulty. You do realize that the difficulty knobs are set where they are for a reason: players are supposed to succeed. A config change like mob armor & damage 100x & fix all AI glitches with random retarget every x seconds would make the game super challenging. No amount of current gears or skill would change the outcome the next time you faced Meathead (if you could even get there) let alone the OL.

If you really want a challenge, kill every boss without equipping any gear. If that's too easy, do it with no gear and respec so you have no stats & no skills. Potions and elixirs are crutches for the weak, so those are right out. No one is stopping you from making the game impossibly hard on yourself; there's no need to ask that it be made harder on everyone else.

Sorry if I'm a bit ranty, but the OL just slaughtered my level 48 bird, three 49 mages , a 47 bear for about a half hour and we were unsuccessful. The lesson I took was that sub 50 parties need not apply & even glitching isn't perfect. It had been a while since I'd been in a party that killed him since that was on my first character, but I don't remember the constant one hit kill aoe. I think it's plenty tough now.

The lvl 50 dungeon is a setup for a even bigger plot. Rumors are that the elite dungeon will be on sizzo's spaceship. But if you talk to the shade in ao2, he brings up going to his home planet and fighting on the dark star. Me's think's this game is going to another planet soon! :D

I definitely think that elite levels should have drops...but more from bosses. However, the boss fights should be hard...like you need a full group of maxed players. Then the bosses should get harder each level.

Yeah, pot spaming and battle rezzing really kills this game. Maybe make pots non-usuable in combat. Man, I buy pots in the middle of combat when I start running out...it's lame.

Thats the first quests you do. You can't even get to the last two quests if you haven't done them.

You have to be careful. I'm still here because I can run in, play for 5 minutes, and quit out. That's very difficult to do without a lot of xp, item loss in other games. If I needed to be on for hours every time I logged on, I would be on one of the bigger MMOs, where it takes days or weeks to farm rares and lots of time investment to level at the high levels. And you're stuck without all your buddies pitching in.
