iam kind of new to this game. i have experinced only free respec and flower circlet events if that what you call special weekends.
i dont like plat offers much as i dont do plat offers nor buy plats but i feel its great for plat users!!
free respec was awesome but i liked flower circlets event alot.
i know most of people will be like, WHAT? THAT WAS SO BORING WEEKEND!! but i made like 400-500k on circlets and its alot gold for me, so yeah!! any new NPC or special quest weekends are my fav!

I like double odds on arcane loot and mythic weapons for several reasons.
The loot events create an economic boom. Players who were poor get lucky creating new buyers in the market.
More high end items are introduced to the market the arcane items that people are hoping for as well as incidental mythics. Usually there is a temperorary price drop in high end items. And lastly, for the farmers, there can be as much as 100% price increase on the crates themselves. In short they get people spending platinum and stimulate the economy.

Imo a double shards weekend would be perfect for this weekend.
Any plat spenders would likely dump thier stash, leaving them in need of a refill for the upcoming event. Also al could really use a supply increase atm fully gemmed rings are still selling ABOVE THE GOLD CAP. The supply is extremely limited and when compared to arcane weapons the demand is 300% as all 3 classes use the same item.

Pet weekends and, idr if they did it here yet but ages ago in sl they did a everything plat 40% off...very cool.

Dbl odds imo means dbl chance for more crap and dbl sts vacation fund.

Hmmm, hard to pick a favorite...might have to go double free plat offers, since I don't buy plat.

Slag weekend is the best, if you have the plat and don't him or Samael.

Double grand gem chance is quite lovely, but I'm never desperately hoping for it.

Anything that changes locked crates is nice, as it is always fun to watch the erratic price fluctuations.

I like double xp weekends. I didnt take advantage of last weekend, because my average ping is 400-1k cuz straight talk didnt restore my 3G data speed after i refilled my service a few weeks ago :annoyed:
