so, you know that green thumb button? if someone clicks it, it adds X number or rep points to your green bars (My rep power: 52)
i think Gluttony has a guide about that...

or they can click the "Thanks" button which adds only +2 to your total rep points

How to earn rep points:
If someone feels that your post was useful, they decide to click Thanks, or the green thumb button

Hoardi,Ruizhe, matanofx thanks all. I got it little bit. That if someone thanks to u then per thanks u got u recieve +2 reputation for each thanks u recieve. M I RIGHT ?? And its limit upto 5 thanks per day means u can get +10 reputation points per day.

Basically, a THANK adds 2 rep to you, and a THUMB UP (the lil green thumb on the bottom of your post) adds how much reputation points the person who thumbs you up has of rep power. For eg., I have 70 or so rep power. So when I thumb you up, you get 70 points added. Gluttony's guide explains it way better.

i think bars 1-5 are 100 pts per bar, then 6-11 are 200 pts per bar

I was only kidding about the selling, I thought that was pretty clear! I don't need the money, trust me...lol. The others were probably from popular forumers giving you a thumbs up (although I'm sure they'd be disappointed now). Using alternative accounts to boost reputation is highly frowned upon.

Remember, a green bar above your head means nothing. You won't be taken any more seriously because of it. People judge on your posts, not how long your forum bar is.
