I will begin by Telling you all i am a rogue.
So now let's start the math, i am no hardcore elite farmer, or a pvper. I just play with my guildies and help them with what I can, and chat alot.
But, all this helping, and all my aps work, makes me burn about 500-600 manapots every single day. Not much compared to the pros, but a good amount.
Considering 100 manapots Costs 700 gold, i use up 3500+ every day. Now this migh seem like a small sum, but if you take this Times 30 (a month) you get at least 105k every month on potions, Only the manapots.
And as i get better and better gear, it feels like my mana is getting lower in the same rate as the damage increase.
I really can not Stand this Cost every day, since, as i Said, i barely have any income.
Now you are propably thinking "but Jina, i can easily get that amount of Money from my dailies!"
Well, I do not do any of my dailies except tokens, to get characterslots, and i do not plan on starting to do them.
The thing i will ask you all is following:
Is it Worth it to spend a few statpoints on int?

Pots really dont cost a lot and if u really have mana problems than u have to buy gear which also gives good intel

This is my war (to lazy to search for my rogue) and i can quite keep up with my mana and my expenses on pots.

Honestly, potions are really cheap. Consider this way, can you farm at least a locked crate in one day? If you can get one, then your potion problem today is solved.

Just like Csyui said, one locked crate a day is good enough for all your potion problems. If you have an extra hour free one day, farm like 5 lockeds and then you can either have some profit, or have a reason to not farm them the next couple days. If you're really worried about potions, you probably should do dailies. Another thing is, why are you trying to earn more character slots? Not the best idea to make more characters if you can't afford pots for one.

5 dex 1 int every level. With this you can at least reduce your mana pots or the better is to use nexus.

Every little sparing of gold count.

Get nexus on normal map it will save you plenty.
just change pet at boss or difficult map.

If you help your guildies... and mages, dont forget to ask them to set up heal/mana recover before u start a map.

Change the way you play and make test on map to find a better setup being more gear with int, int pass skill, mana pet or the way u spam skills.

You need to find a better balance if you want to decrease the mana pot.

You have to have some sort of income. Try locked farming if you hate elite. However, elite is probably more effective. I don't understand the hatred of elite, it is by far my favorite part of the game.

INT for rogue is always good, as it slighly increases dodge and crit. Plus adds mana.
I was running mana tank before (some Stat points into INT) but in the end, higher damage means less potions too, so I recommend all DEX, especially since the mythic armor has a good bit of INT in it.

The way I see it, rogues are like airplanes, they have high power, but they must never stop running... or farming.
Start a sorcerer if you want zero maintenance costs.

Change the way you ... spam skills.
This and the right skillset can save you 2/3 pots.

Also you can friend a sorcerer with heal... duo sorc+rogue are the most entertaining runs IMHO.

I never Said i hate elite, i just do not find it as entertaining as running for an example kraken to help a friend out :)
And also, i am kind of stuck at the elite Nordr aps, because i think Nordr overall is the worst maps in the game, so i do not even go in there.

Nordr is nothing compared to Elite Tindirin.

With patience and the right stratigies, Nordr is actually pretty managable, at least for my guildies and I.

Oh, i have no problem at all with the mobs. There is just 3 things i hate with Nordr...
1.alpha wolf
2 that bloody spider boss!
3.Ice patches. All hate to the ice.

The bosses are all tankable but you can't get by without a mage or two tanks on the latest maps - large mob chain pulls, short mob leash and many movement-impairing effects. Both Nordr and Shuyal are much harder to solo than Tindirin IMO.

I have a l36 rogue which i capped last season. I was doing mostly km3 on it and my spec was pierce + razor shield + shadow storm bolt and i was always charging my spells.

I dont think this spec helps too much in the harder maps but for km3 it was working just fine for me.

Man I'll blow through 1500+ mana pots a day but I don't get to play all the time.

yup (referring to the bolded part) I'm a mage, and i find myself sometimes clicking the health pots more than my attack button, and somehow have about 1k mana pots..which are probably expired because I never use them...

Just use Sorc ring or Rogue ring with glacial gem. Don't add int on your stats point.

Imagine how much mana potions elite running rogues drink :o I agree rogues use way too many mana pots. Even running in km for crates, I use a bunch. What I do is: buy a luck kit, run km for locked crates and sell them for pots. So, hopefully I get lucky with a few lock drops and get back the pots I used running to farm them, plus the 9-10k for the kit :/ -sigh- lolol When I do get mana pots, I get enough to last me a few days (2-3k health and mana pots). Gotta be ready for those elites ^^

hahaha yes its similar to me.. sametimes cant click skills by spamm pots :) " when the party leave you alone front of everyone with many mob, just spamming pots to try find 0.1 second for click clock skill "

True rogues burn mana, try gear or pets that buff mana and also hangout with party consisting of a mana spewing mage. If you have a skill that burns tons of mana, just ask yourself if you could do without it. Also perhaps try not to be in the thick of battle, just take out specific targets, rogues are the snipers of the team.

Soon as you get luck lix from Klaas go hunt for lockeds in Brackenridge multiple times or do the Brackenridge/Gold mine run. KM3 will be a heavy mana drain - the very thing you're trying to avoid.

rogues AS doesn't cost much mana.
only nox Burns mana. I only use it on boss
and only aimshot for mobs.

AS is the rogues' ultimate skill.

...so you use a area attack on boss, and a single target attack on mobs? Makes sense...
