Trying to love this game... Please help me change my mind!

I have tried this game many times, then given up, but always come back to it.
I never get past level 20 because I find the experience very grindy.
World of Warcraft, to me, has a way better pve experience, and was hoping for something similar in Pocket Legends.
I have rolled every single class, and have tried hybrid classes as well (still not past lvl 20)
Is there some way I could make my experience more enjoyable?

You're expecting way too much from a <100mb MMORPG designed for mobile entertainment. Your gameplay will not be enjoyable unless you stop comparing World of Warcraft with Pocket Legends. You won't get the same PvE experience and they are dissimilar so this may not be the MMORPG for you.

I personally set goals to make PL more enjoyable, one in which is upgrading equips (and is usually the end-all goal for nearly all players besides getting to max level). Find a set of equips you want, and get to that level or farm. Make friends, talk, etc. along the way.

The best way to go about it if you are too lazy to level is don't care too much about it. Play when you have nothing else to do and once you feel like you are starting to enjoy it, you can focus more on the game.

yea below a certain level, the game play is slightly boring but leveling is easy. you will get to the point where the gameplay is fun, but gets harder to advance lol

You don't need to, just earn the plat, play the game, die with it.

Rofl the exp is grinding? This is the easiest MMO that I have ever played to reach end game level, especially compared to WoW.
