View Full Version : [Suggestion] Give loot to all party members anywhere on the map

I just came up with this idea: if you are in party with at least 1 person who is near boss, just died and cant get back to the boss, the loot from boss will also drop for you even though you are not there. Only happens if you are in the party, and at least 1 member of the party is near boss to get loot too. And only happens at boss, not at mobs :)

EDIT: I forgot to mention the reason I suggest this is that it counts as normal loot from boss that also has chance to reroll. I think having played almost a year lets me know about "stay dead to get loot without reroll" already :)

So, to explain better, I will make a scenario:
-There are 4 people in a map (you and 3 others)
-You are in party with 1 of them (your friend)
-You died and cant make it to boss
-Your teammates are all busy killing boss so cant help you get back
-And when the boss died, 3 people are there including your friend who you are in party with and they all get the loot
-Now the boss also drops the loot for you even though you are not there near the boss
-Your teammates now can help you get back to the boss and you can get your loot

If its still unclear, please ask, I will explain more about my idea :)

At this point I think you are worrying about leechers who only afk at the start of the map to get loot from boss. Well if this only works for party, you can kick leechers out any time and he/she wont get loot. With this idea implemented you wont have to worry about people killing boss without you because you died (which happens a lot).

Thanks for reading :) please give your feedback

You did not consider the most important factor: the pocket of STS.

No one will use plat-revive anymore if your suggestion is implemented and this affects the income of STS.

I dont see any issues at all with the way things are i.e. you get loot whether you are dead or alive at the boss death. Nothing wrong with needing to be there ... even as a corpse.

You get the boss if you stay dead next to it, plat revive is useless is so many ways.

Plat revive can be vital at elite bosses.

when you are dead, your elixirs including lep don't work. Most of the time you get the worst loot.

this.
I only stay dead if I need AP or quest, else I just free revive and attempt to run to the boss because there is absolutely nothing to look forward to without reroll. Only thing worth while is elite gold chest, but most of the time you will get either copper chest, bronze chest, a random green or blue item. Pink drop without reroll in elite? It happens once a year right?

Very good point.

Implementing this would just encourage leeches.

did you even bother reading last part? if this is implemented for party only then you can kick the leecher out any time

That part didn't make sense to me so I didn't elaborate on it. But since you insist:

- Pugs don't usually form parties, yet they are the ones who would rely on this feature the most.

- The majority of players dislike partying for just one run - mostly because forming a party implies a commitment to do more

- What happens when nobody is willing to party? It kind of defeats the purpose of implementing the idea.

- There is also not usually time to be fiddling with the party member list when fighting arachna or Inan one person short. So if someone's taking a stroll back from spawn hoping the boss is dead when they get there, is it worth suiciding to boot the leech?
