This. Both pets are great, they were the only pets I used as a mage for almost a year. Orion is about 35k (bought one yesterday for my twink) and Ethyl is like 12k.

Malison is always an awesome all around pet, was my favorite since season 1..but colton is also really good, can get for free if you do daily story tokens..

Spend your gold on Orion and Ethyl as mentioned above. Save your story tokens and get Colton then Crawly. I like ribbit as well for normal maps. Drop your clock and hit ribbit before it hits. Watch the crits with pleasure.

I personally dont recommend colton, good +dmg bonus but makes you very squishy without any health bonus. Orion and Ethyl are much better choices and cheaper too. remember, dead mages dont deal any damage! Also Orion is my personal favorite legendary for mages. He can panic mobs, debuff mobs, and give you dmg% bonus with his arcane ability as well as +HP, dmg reduction and +Int and +Str on his passive, he really is an all-in-one for me.

I love ribbits "crit bomb" with clock. Super handy in tombs. I've seen ribbit in the 10k range and that's a steal.
