Unless you're going with a myth or arcane pet, Malison will always be one of the best pets for low lvl twinks, esp rogues.

I assume you want jack or nexus for buffing your mana, but you are better off getting better gear with mana than using a pet that offers mana regen or a mana based AA;

you are better off using pets that buff your crit and INT in the long run.

Nexus and Jack are useless at level 8 in pvp....malison from the other hand is good for pvp at any level
