This isn't a duplicate message. I've been thinking long and hard, and I need people for my new guild to come in a few weeks time. Anyone who is interested in having an early spot as officer/recruiter, give a comment on this thread. Tell me your IGN and info.

To become Officer in new guild: Must be capped (lvl.41)
Must have "Paragon" title (10k ap)
Must have decent KDR.
Must have a decent bond with me (I have to trust you first)
If you match all 3 of these points, you are qualified to be an officer. ONLY FOR A LIMITED TIME, This offer will be over once there are a couple people. First come, first serve, good luck guys.

P.S; Don't bother being officer/recruiter if you aren't going to actually be in the guild. I hate when people join and become officer/recruiter, then leave the next day! Don't disappoint me ;)

Goodluck! :)

You may want to show guild's rules first, so that before people can decide if they want in or not.
I don't, BTW.

What is "decent" KDR? I was thinking of starting a guild where the only requirement would be 3k PvE deaths on main toon (maybe 1k for warriors) ;-)

If I was joining, I would be a bit apprehensive. Maybe it was just me, but reading the post made me feel like I had to appease you and kiss your feet to have a chance at joining.

Alright, perhaps the above statement is a bit harsh but you get my point! :)

I was kinda thinking the same thing too.

The problem is that you are acquiring inspiration from guilds like Karma, EoS, etc. which developed their member base (and their requirements for joining) over time.

I remember when i first heard of Epitome Of Silentkill (late last summer), their level requirement for joining was at least one level below the cap (lvl 30-31 in s4 and 35-36 in s5). Then as they were acquiring more members as well as the loyal, active players getting more developed, they decided to make the guild a capped guild (lvl 36 in s5). After a few months of development, they added the Paragon title as a requirement last January. The guild merged into Karma now, but they were a very succesful guild.

You need to start the guild off low. Only make a requirement of lvl 30+ or something. Then, as people get more emotionally attached to the guild and progress their characters, then you can start moving towards a more exclusive guild.

Right now, no one is familiar with the guild. As Zeus said, no one is going to want to join a guild that requires people to do so much from the get-go to be able to join.

It worked with Karma, Resilience, etc because they already have a player base following them (friends of the gm, etc) who matched the requirements.

I tried the same thing before (posting a preliminary thread to arouse interest in joining) but no one was interested.

I don't mean to sound harsh, i'm just trying to give advice. :)

Rofl! What?! So if I do not have 3k pve deaths I should go on out there and allow those skeletons to gang me until I meet your requirements?!
:nightmare::indecisiveness::hopelessness:

Ok, so I twisted his lack of clarity for my own trolling needs! Big whoop!

The idea was to avoid people who
- are too new
- are too rich
- are afraid of challenge
I think it would work well toward these goals, right?
And yes, it would not be a guild for everyone.

Anyway, let's hear MeeMaw's rules.

Zeus, i read over your statement again and i get it. But don't worry. I'm not going to be overly harsh and aggressive with my guildies. I dont want people to feel like they have to kiss my feet lol. Especially you, if you're up for joining, it would be an honour! ;)

Decent KDR, means like 15k pve kills, under 2k deaths. (That should be worst possible outcome kdr). My kdr isnt great, but thats my fault. I was stupid and did things to fast paced, thats why I finished almost all PvE in game so fast!

Just edit your post to reflect that. I think that the way it is currently structured, it gives people doubts about joining. :)

Pardon, but how does one finish all PVEs in the game for they are endless?! Did you mean to say that you finished all the PVE maps in the game? Honestly though, 15k kills to 2k deaths cannot be considered remotely decent by any means. Set your standards a wee bit higher or you will end up with many players who cannot run elites and need to be carried through them by a skilled party. That's never fun.
