Finally! The much anticipated answer to the question..."When will the Ursoth's Assault event start!"

The event will officially begin at 1:30pm CDT on July 1st, 2014

You'll notice that in today's update a few bits of the new event have leaked through. The new pets, Little Bear, Dovabear and Shady and Surge are all visible in the stable but they aren't available just yet. They will become available when the event starts next week.

The other welcome addition in the latest update is that Stash Slots are available for story tokens at the story token vendor. 100 tokens for 25 slots, up to 250 total.

Well, in comparison with the magma sets, it is better but not by much. For example, the level 41 security set for the Druid Bark mage adds 150 health, 150 mana and 1 armor more. I'd say if you already have magma super gemmed, that you do not buy this but use it to farm the gear.

I propose to at least change the 1.00 HP and 1.00 MP per second to 1% per second. In endgame, even if someone bothers lose enough secondary attribute points to combine these armors with season-one pets that have similar regens, it's still a joke. What does 10 HP/MP p.s. even offer? You can do your dailies without pots now? How great.

In other news, looks like somehow both elite loot got even more unwanted AND upgraded mythic armors are still the most popular/efficient choice for pretty much 90% of the game. Awesome.

And the architect sets were almost useless, whenever there is an event, the gear ia probably better than the gear that can be looted from elites.

Forget magma, what happened to staggered gear release and mythics not being the best equipment for the third season in a row? We haven't had new helms or armor for over a year now. This is extremely discouraging for any long term players wanting to actually play. These rings are not better than mythic ring, so that's another item that we will continue using the same. We already can't sell the gear we farm because mythic is so cheap now, so what is the point of continuing?

The warrior helms and armors were worth farming since they were worth a good amount. Now everyone will be doing caves/jagged so soon enough the weapons will become useless.

Gear will be worth less than mythic, which means under 2M for a full set IF you can get anyone to buy it. I have guildmates paying 200K in listing fees on the top magma gear because people just plain won't buy it when mythic is so cheap. I can't see this being any different when 90% of end game players are in better armour already.

This will be a 6 month expansion so don't be expecting one anytime soon :) And tbh now it's make or break. You've either got to farm you butt off or hope for new drops in elites. I think i'll do the first one so I can ensure some type of income wether it be small or large :)

Funny how all true farmers were against energy kits . With new gear released ( helms and armor ) they will have to do it anyway.

I'm not a energy kit fan but to be honest if we would be able to farm kits from all Arlor's bosses ... this would be great. I'm just imaging how hard is to farm elites and how ( maybe on first sight) easy is to kill regular boss ( from Ursoth event ) to get an Elondrian Golden Chest or an Elondrian Silve Chest.
Good choice to scale new gear ! Now i know how i'm going to farm wise.

Level is irrelevant except for qualifying for the LB. Mythic weapon drop rates are the same for every level

Looking at the stats for the new armors, helms, and rings makes me frustrated as an end-gamer. These new items are not much if at all better than the magma gear, mythics, and current rings. People will not pay top dollar for these items (perhaps in the beginning of the event but certainly not one week into the event). The magma gear market has already crashed and the stats on them are almost equivalent to new gear that will be released. So if no one is buying magma gear then likely new event gear will crash in value very quickly (and it will be worth almost nothing by the end of the 3 week event). So this leaves nothing worth while to farm portals for other than dova bear pet and a handful of people going for leader board for shady and surge. So in essence this event will be pretty uneventful and will also ruin elite farming.

STG please focus on the main content of the game not these mini events. This is not working and you are driving many players away from this game. Keep people interested with the main content such as elite farming by coming out with new loot from the bosses, new arena bosses, new hauntlet map, new PVP maps. Release mythics sooner and faster. These are the things STG needs to focus on to keep people interested. Instead, all this time and effort is wasted on these mini-events that is honestly boring after 1 week of playing it. There is no challenge with these mini-events especially when the portal is available in town. People will get bored. On top of that barely desirable gear being released with the event will only hasten the boredom of players. This staggering of item release through events is simply not working.

The living spirit assault is not better than tarlok assault for mages, living spirit lvl41 got 2.8 damage while tarlok got 3.9 damage at lvl15.

Looks like the wild talismans are better than the new amulets. I don't know, seems like the only thing worth getting is dova bear and Little bear if I can make it to 500 tokens. Last event I wasn't even close. I sure hope the Rings proc some cool animations like the goblin ring. As it is, it looks as if the mythic ring is still supreme. Not that I'm complaining.

lol. bro war should use horn to grab aggro and shield them and oneself and heal
mages and rogues and I think 400-500 HP per 1.5sec is enough for them. I use horn only for shielding purpose.

Well I guess we simply have to bear with what's been laid down, this event might be better than we think just have to accept what's been done because I'm sure the STG team's worked really hard so lets atleast see how this event will go...maybe this could be used to improve future events and even expansions.

Would the dev team consider increasing the dodge and crit stats twice as much or even more to make it competitive with other rings/ amulets?
It has no damage, no secondary stats, no armor, and the scale increase as the level increase is just not up to par.
0.01% increase in dodge/ crit? Even a 1% increase in dodge/ crit is barely noticeable.

Awesome!!! I wish I would have seen this before buying new magma armor of will to go with my warrior. Currently equipped with magma claymore of assault, Magma Basonet of assault, and Magma Plate of will. Looks like i should've saved my gold for the new armors, didn't think they were going to be as good or better than magma set for a warrior. Anyone think I should sell my current gear and go for the new release Ursoths event armors. Or ride with what I have and farm for those items when its released. :indecisiveness:

The market though will crash u can t do anything about that though but i hope u don t do any more events like this at least for a month or 2 .. so that the market will stabilze..Thanks for the stash purchasable at bard thats really usefully for people who can t afford plats and have a reason to play daily :) .. I wish the arcane pets were lootable with the new converted chests than leaderboard only.. So if not now when i have a chance to purchase plats i could own 1 too buy buying gold :)

Forget magma, what happened to staggered gear release and mythics not being the best equipment for the third season in a row? We haven't had new helms or armor for over a year now. This is extremely discouraging for any long term players wanting to actually play. These rings are not better than mythic ring, so that's another item that we will continue using the same. We already can't sell the gear we farm because mythic is so cheap now, so what is the point of continuing?

Rogues got 2 ring with main stat dex, the celerity is a pretty good one. Mages havent got a ring with secondary stat str, also dexterity is useless for warriors on the str ring.
