maybe gimp is free and very good for its price, but it will never never NEVER replace Photoshop, because photoshop is God is the best machine of designing of the world and to be a good designer ull have to use photoshop functions that gimp hasnt

Anyway, PS is the way to go if you're a serious designer, as I consider myself (i'll show some of my work later).

Gimp is more like a MS Paint program with extended options.
