Well, the more you list the item for, the more the initial listing fee. If you want to sell something for 1 million gold (i think initial fee is ~50k), the price to list it for 12hrs, 24hrs, 3days would be like 50,125; 50,300; 50,500 respectively. So for the more expensive items, it's best to list them for 3 days rather than 3x 24 hours.

(These numbers are just estimated values to illustrate the point. Dont troll or flame them if they are incorrect values!)

The CS won't let you post items for less gold than the listing fee. I tired posting a bunch of crappy legendary eggs (deary, tankton. Glounder, etc) at 1 gold and it wouldn't let me.
