The event is time and plats sucker... I've been playing 3 days straight ... I waste a lot of plats but still can't make to the leader board top 10 for rouge... Hope AL will consider not 10 each character coz everyone wasted good money for this event....we hope AL Consider all players on the leader board not just 10.... It's all fair competition. Not all of these people on top 10 will be able to keep playing this intensively throughout the three weeks - maybe you can catch up to them later when they've ran out of gold to spend and platinum to throw in. But no, you can't expect them to give SnS to top 150 or shorten the event a week because you didn't reach your goal as easy as you thought. :)

I was shocked that theres no time limits from portal runs but i see some reasons why they shouldnt apply it. Since you are planning to be in LB, you shouldve expected that theres a bunch of money to be wasted from it, the reward is an arcane egg, a lot of players are interested with it and the competition is always on its hottest mood. Some of my friends slept 3-4 hours only for them to maintain their rank, see how competitive it is?

Also, you should need to consider that it wasn't just you who got the same problem, most likely everyone who didn't reach top 10 and spent money to make an attempt, its risky, indeed, but it was your choice to compete, nothing to blame or point at someones fault :)

Im not against or blaming someone here... I got 2 arcane pet whim and glacian .. Every now and then AL releases better arcane pet than the other.... So is it worth it to spend on this one? then after a month or two AL will release better than shady and surge I bet.. Money will talk in this kind of event... The top prize isn't for everyone. I'm sick of seeing whenever sts has a COMPETITION, people who can't compete complain because they want EVERYONE to have the same chance at winning. Sorry, but that is called a raffle.

SnS is a super rare prize, only achievable at end game. Thus, it only makes sense that super elite players are the ones able to realisticly get it. Not some guy who thinks arcane hooks are expensive.

To win SnS, you're going to need to have LOTS of gold to spend to win.

Now...what IS platinum? Platinum is a way for a newer player to speed up the process of getting far into the game by spending money. That's it.

So to skip to having top notch gear AND a spare 30-50m gold...you're looking at spending A LOT on platinum to get there.

So, if you don't have the gold to compete, you can CHOOSE to spend money and try. That's your choice.

ALTERNATIVELY, you can CHOOSE to actually take advantage of the event, which can yield you a HUGE amount of gold. You could then take that huge amount of gold and begin merching and find yourself with a great amount of wealth.

And, since you don't mind using platinum, you could've actually only used a couple hundred platinum and made INSANE gold profits (over 10mil) during the first day of the event.


And then...then you would be able to compete in the next event, without having to ever spend a single dollar.


Tl;dr: learn how to manage your money--both in real life and in a game.

FYI not bragging my 2 toons just to be see thru here .... Both of my toons have a complete mythic and arcane weapons and pets... And still I'm complaining.... Only in this event... There are many players who are annoyed by being able to hold 'only' 100,000,000 gold in their inventory. Yes...only 100mil. I noticed a lot of people replying to this event are not on the top 10 or top 15 so I'll reply since i been in top 10 this whole week...
It's not just plat but it's exhausting.. Why? Because knowing it's three weeks event you need to be ahead of your game.. One day you're not? People can easily catch up to you because it's a long race.. If u don't want people next week to catch up easily u need to be staying up there everyday. So far I've spend more or less $200 for the week (still got about 400 plats left after that it's official $200) I craft energy, and occasionally buy energy kits with gold and I can tell you this... Last night I could've stayed until 3am grinding ... But to be honest?? I couldn't.... I was personally drained in real life .. The headaches of sitting on computer all day.. I cancelled my plans for this, yes I agree with u all that this is a personal choice and I have to admit ..
It's also a total waste of time and one of my biggest mistake to be so committed into this for a pet I never even wanted.. But I started playing without knowing I'm gonna be in top 10.. I just had to keep going for the sake of it.. 2 hours or sleep this whole week.. Except the weekend obviously .. Sts know that people will spend this amount of time and money for this event. With or without race 3 weeks is a long time for event lol, and I feel for misspell except misspell it's hard to complain about this because we put ourselves into this and so technically we have no right to complain about it.. I feel honestly an idiot for gettin into this, lol everyday I ask myself why .. But I'm very competitive.. I can't stop now.. I noticed a lot of warriors slowed down

But what's really bothering me.. Are the people who are doing this on twink level , taking some relaxation .. Then levelling up to 35 last minute to be on AL.. So you don't even really know your real rank. Because the last day? 10 twinks could level up last minute and bump the whole top 10 rogue u see now. That right there is unfair .. But what's really bothering me.. Are the people who are doing this on twink level , taking some relaxation .. Then levelling up to 35 last minute to be on AL.. So you don't even really know your real rank. Because the last day? 10 twinks could level up last minute and bump the whole top 10 rogue u see now. That right there is unfair .. It's nice to see everyone's rank .. But now? You're never sure... That's what they want you to do, and you fell for it HARD :/

This should be your main concern right now! STS provide a fix or look into this matter seriously or that LB is going to be a joke 3 days before event ends.

This is a global leaderboard, from all the players compete ting, and you try and get on a leaderboard for the top 50, top 50 out of how many players that are competing? If you even make it close to LB that's well done! It's possible for a non plat user to get on LB, just takes more time, hence the reason there is platinum to speed up your gameplay...

Again why would Sts make it easy for non plat users to get in LB, then... What happens to StS's income?

Get to gold tier, and there's your prize for non plat user, or save token buy all items for tokens, and if you want the LB banner, keep going for that 3 weeks and you will make it!

I know it's a choice but believe me or not it's a plats sucking event knowing AL can shorten the time for the event and not showing the 40 more players under 10 top players... Giving the players the urge to play and spend more .... Nice business strategy then... Im a pioneer player here in AL you can check my account how much I spend plats in this game... Don't spend then. I have spend a lot moneys too but I don't chase LB, I rather make a lot ALTS and do what's best for me!!! Just because you spend a lot money dont mean you will get shady and surge! Be sporty! Sts didn't force you to spend 2000$ so don't ask them to give you the pet! If everyone spend 2k or whatever $ won't make everyone the owner of S&S pet! I'll rather say 30 people to choose from LB to giveaway 30 S&S is a bit more number for an arcane pet!
Anyway, If you go for LB don't complain, you gotta spend everything to be in TOP. If you can't, don't try at all -.- simple as that

on topic: Yes its hard to go in top 10 in leaderboard. People dont have to adjust on u, u should adjust to them inorder to be 1st. This is a real plat spending event, Plat buying is the main source of Sts's profit as a company they will sure make the plats wanted for people, its there business trick.
If your plats are not enough, u have to do the adjustments to yourself. The event lb are only for who are devoted in buying plats and buying energy.
Last event was disaster 2 players didnt have time to rest and to do real life activities, yet they did adjust and 1 of them won 1st place.

The bait is a Shady and Surge and other appetible prizes.
You pay with your gold/plat /time/health.
