Answering the age old question... HOW DO I BEAT URSOTH'S ASSAULT?!?!?!
1. Chill. You aren't in a football game.
2. With this guide, you'll be in the gold tier in no time!
3. I won't be doing side quests from the event in this guide. Go look at someone else's.
4. That Necklace Ward thing, it's ultimately useless in this guide.
Let's get started.
First you'll start off in what I like to call the Nub Tier, as Tiptop will refer to you as newbie several times at this tier. The first main quest you'll get is to beat (correct me if I am wrong) Herond the tree man.. person...thing. Anyway, he should be pretty easy as his attacks are weaker. He should be a breeze.
But with any boss, I recommend this party:
At least 1 rouge and sorcerer.
Warriors are optional, but NEVER solo a boss with it.
Healing or slowing down pets (Ethyl was perfect for me.)
After that formation is done, most bosses should be a breeze.
After Herond comes boss 2, Europhex, the lizard. Same formation is needed for boss 1. He drops purple pools that do damage. If you watched the Shady and Surge showcase by the devs, he has an attack similar to their Arcane Ability, but no healing pools. Watch out for those damage pools as they can kill you if you stand on them too long. He will drop 12 tokens once killed.
Boss 3, Helena, is probably one of the hardest. She has insane health and can summon corrupted plants. Be careful!
This is where your pet of choice comes into play the most. heals to the face are important when battling Helena, but equally is a slow down pet. For this boss you'll need:
A team that doesn't "chicken out" or give up
At least 2 rouges
At least 1 sorcerer
A warrior is also needed for healing.
It IS possible to solo this boss with a rouge at least, but it will take a long time.
With your party, have a few attack the plants and the rest go for Helena. The plants are infinite spawn until you kill her so you will need to ward them off. Use your choice pet's Arcane Ability as needed. Repeat... and repeat. Helena will seem more and more like a crazed psycho as she loses health. Mainly watch where you are rooted. When you see a narrow area of red in front of her, GET OUT OF RANGE. It can kill you with one shot if you aren't careful! Repeat.. repeat.
Soloing, it will take anywhere from 15 minutes to 15 years. It took me the better part of a hour to solo her.
Finally, the final boss.... URSOTH.
Don't expect to see him until around late bronze, silver tier and gold tier.
You'll need:
Again, a persistent team
At least 2 sorcerers
A rouge and a warrior
This boss was easier than Helena, so don't flip out. A slowing down pet is almost crucial, but an attack pet or yes, Little Bear, will work as well.
Start by attacking him from behind. when you see red around him, make sure to get out of range!!! The attack that follows could be a light swing or heavy pummel. Be on guard.
If the rouge has the healing ability, use it as soon as the cooldown ends. That way fewer potions are consumed.
If you must, spamming potions is also an additive. (What? Worked for me...)
Every so often, he'll summon Herond. Get him out of the way. You'll have enough distractions with Ursoth alone. Attack Ursoth when you can, and repeat when he summons Herond.
The overall battle will take anywhere from 5 minutes (for all you 4k kill pvpers) to 30 minutes (for all you people new to Ursoth, so everyone.) Clear time for this battle, you could be there a while.
But now, you have all of Ursoth's minions and Ursoth himself gone! now Elondria will live in peace!
Now how to get to gold tier?
Do all that stuff... again. XD
Note... If this guide did not work and turned out to be a fail, please PM me with these exact words... Snowfu, your AL Assault guide failed! I am disappoint. I will try to make you undisappoint.
Until next time, good luck fighting!
