Lets fix the Leaderboard contest(Together).

In this thread i will illustrate how according to me a fix for the Lb contest should work in order to make all the partecipants, both twinks and endgamers, happy. Cutting off twinks like some players suggested in another thread is a no go due to the amount of money, time and effort they have put so far into the event.
Please keep in mind before you read this: the points twinks earned are all legit and once 35+ they legally deserve to win.
Yes its a mess.


Now i will explain through points each solution i thought about and try to be as clear as possible. Each solution scale in base of how efficient the event system is.

#1. Sts creates 2 Leaderboards.

The first Lb will be the current. The second Lb will be for twinks from Lv 35 downwards. At this point the exp meter for all players with 50k+ points will be blocked in order to prevent twinks from invading the endgame Lb.


#2. 2 Level 35 Learderboards.
The current Lb remains. This Lb will be only for the people currently at 35+.
Another level 35+ Lb will be created and a deadline of 2/3 days will be giving to twinks so they can level up and compete in this one. After the deadline is over points gained while under Lv35 after counting up to 3250( number of pts for gold tier) will be equal to 0.


#3 Sts just disables exp meter and points counter for everyone under Lv35 and that has already reach gold tier after 2/3 days of warning without creating a new Lb.


#4 Sts gives the egg to everyone with 300k+ points (or any amount sts considers appropriate) then add a arcane ring on top of this reward to those that won according to the positions stipulated at the beginning of the event.


#5 This is also a solution too: Everything remains as it is.

We can just make twink lb and freeze exp gain to make them stay as twinks for the event, since they want to use the easy way and run as twinks then lets make them work hard like end gamers by giving them prizes buttttt only top 3 each class gets an egg.

That way we wont have 60 arcane egg giving, and twinks wont lose thier money and plats for nothing. Seems fair to me

MODS/DEVS POST/COMMENT MAKE A SOUND please, LB'ers are very panicy thanks to you the least you can do is show them you hear them and are trying to find a solution too.

It has taken over forums so obviously people are stressed out, it could also be the lack of sleep though right?

I just cant believe that they still haven't replied, im so stressed I went down to number 10 in lb so confused should I stop or keep going!

Thats seriously the worse mistake STS made so far, and im sure by the end of this event there will be huge amount of Rage Quit, oh btw all of them are plats users since most of them are the ones on lb,

Yup they spend less time killing bosses, while we r killing helen, twinks would have killed her 3 times and half way thro fourth zzz

Just wondering are you someone that paid over 20mil to get in the top of your class? Didn't think so. Just because your not trying for lbs and using your gold doesn't mean the event is perfect.

The problem is that twinks have a much easier time killing these bosses than endgames. There are 2 solutions to this to make everyone happy.
1. Make 2 separate lbs like anarchist said. Which is the best solution
2. On the last week add shady and surge to the elondrian locked crates. This way people that were cheated out of lbs still get a chance.

Hi all. I appreciate the feedback here. I do share your concern, and we at STS agree that there are refinements to be made with the leaderboard system. We are too far along in the game to make changes to the leaderboard system now, but...

In the spirit of transparency I will be making posts every few days between now and the end of the event to show the top 50 players of each class, including twinks, so you can see where everyone stacks up, regardless of level.

As far as the difficulty level between twink and end-game bosses, this is something that we will look at going forward with more events like this. Again, we appreciate all the feedback.

Check the thread Remiem posted. The ripple effect of twinks is indescribable. Honestly, I'm shocked STG didn't do anything about it. :rolleyes:

All I can do is lol, I have been trying to preach the evils of twinks since last season when many (rightful) pvpers lost their flags to farmers and it got ignored/flamed (by twinkers).
