Yeah if I'm correct it's already quite an old glitch.:) fun to see.

Not sure about that but what happens in the screen shot is when the owner runs following the wall sorta hugging it and the pet wont follow..acts as a sorta barrier between the pet and its owner.. Walk a couple steps away from the edge of the pier/beach and the pet will run to you

Seriously though,
This happens in PL too
Also sometimes to "Mom" banners in CTF/TDM/PvE too
I think they stay there because when the player gets killed and respawns, the pet just stays there...

I can also see orbital staff heads in pvp floating lol
