Deep in the Sandstone Caves, something peculiar is happening. A temporal rift has started to open, and soon the heroes of Alterra will be able to travel back in time to visit the "Ancient Caverns," before they were the Sandstone Caves. The power of the mysterious crystals is much stronger in the past. It emanates from the crystals and boosts the power and strength of the wandering cave golems, so be warned, you'll need to be at least level 72 before you brave these caves.

Along with this new area to explore, we will also be adding another level, boosting the cap to 77. Don't be deceived, though, this level isn't going to be easy to obtain. You'll need quite a lot of XP if you hope to get from 76-77, but the reward will be well worth it. Along with the elite vanity shield still available for reaching level 76, we'll be adding a new elite vanity pet for reaching 77, and you know what that means. Level capped players will be able to combine the level 76 Blacksmoke Mountain vanity shield with the new level 77 vanity to obtain a 2-set ring. Of course, if you have a previous level cap vanity from 56, 61, 66 or 71, you could obtain a 3-set ring.

A lot, would hopefully be more than 250k I guess, but less than 500k. I wouldn't assume 1m exp, but expect it higher than 200 I think. People cap 76 pretty crazy with just 100k exp, so I HOPE this isn't too easy.

We've been at this cap for nearly 2 years now. The "oldies" had the chance to experience more then 3 caps in that time frame. They've have their op 3 piece rings, and still will, for 2 years now. It's more unfair to everyone else.

On the issue of fairness, 2piece ring, and making new players wait...

The flip side is that new players won't be able to just rush up to endgame so easily; they will have to double cap (or cap + ultra cap) to get there. I think this effect sounds good, as well as the eventual chance at 2 piece ring.

Over the past year I've heard endless comments that players wished they could get the 2 piece. It seems sts is answering this player need in a fair and considerate way.

But enough of the stuffy stuff...

I think the whole purpuse of having the 2pc available for new players is simply because of PvP. People with cap rings have such a huge advantage over people without them.

we've been at this cap for nearly 2 years now. The "oldies" had the chance to experience more then 3 caps in that time frame. They've have their op 3 piece rings, and still will, for 2 years now. It's more unfair to everyone else.

If another stats were included for 3 yrs veterans vanitys or given a ring, then the developers have a huge headache of trying to blance the stats so as not to overpower a certain char or sets weapons and they will be alot of new players crying because they have no chance of winning pvp with the older players with higher stats, it will just be a tsunami of complaints to STG if that ever happens.

It's not worthless, they need to be 77 to equip the new items. What about the people who have capped what? 5 times already? They have had a 3pc the whole time and have no complaints about it. This is basically another cap with a twist. Nothing more.

This question was already answered. The L76 Vanity Shield will still be available after the cap is raised to L77. And when you get both, yes, they can be combined for a 2-piece ring.

QUESTION - when the 77 cap comes, and we are 76 can we still do elite red dragon slayer quest to get the shadow minion disguise and do the quest to get best friend eternally still?

Because some alts I capped but not finished 76 red dragon kills and 1 onyx kill.

4 piece is unfair? ._.
You know what I think is unfair, new players just joining and capping being able to cap at 76 and then at 77 again, to get a 2 piece ring. When some old players sacrificed their time ( and probably money ) to cap the Max cap ever since elite vanities were introduced. They waited some time before another cap is released ( for example, 61 to 66 cap ) while you just need to wait for this to get a 2 piece ring. So honestly, I think they deserve it. Stop complaining. Gawd.

Actually, if you take the time and effort to reach 77, you get to equip the 77 elite items, which are better than 75/76. And every new cap since the 3rd elite vanity cap would have just been "Catch-Ups" then, because apparently the new content means nothing to you. There was no talk of giving oldies better elite items then, such as a 4pc. Why can't newer players, who may I say to get a 3pc ring at this cap have to have been around for at least 2 years, finally get true end game gear? Why does there have to be something more in it for you? It's the same as every cap. You just have some issue with players getting the same gear as you.

On another note looking through the ideas for this cap in general I really appreciate the attention to Pocket Legends Sts! Thank you guys.

I rarely play pvp but I am happy n thanks full when sts add new caps . I caped x4 so far n enjoyed each time . My friends n I had so fun fighting together . Can't wait til the next one [emoji16]

on behalf of too many ignorant players.. sorry STS that you have to hear this crap after all the work you have done to improve the game forward and more importantly THANK YOU for adding new content for both old and new players. i understand it's not your top priority to add features to a game where players comment new content with frustrating and self-centered complaints instead of gratitude - thinking they are losing something while every new thing is for every player. adding more to achieve to the playing experience benefits all of the players - not just new ones or old ones. it would be really awkward if new content helped more people who have played the game several years ago. as the situation is right now - for a long time players have not been able to get any rings from fallen prince. not 2pc or 3pc ones. it has been probably a good thing for players who have had a long career in the game and you've had the advantage for a reason. you have played the game longer. you still have the advantage in many ways and it will never disappear - hopefully new content will not stop coming despite some idiots' way of handling the changes in the game - complaining and giving crap about the work that is behind the upgrades.

No its not unfair this is most likely the last cap therefore the eye vanity should stay plus this cap isnt meant to be a major cap its just 1 level for pete sake. This is meant for as a catchup cap for the newbies to help balance pvp. It is NOT meant for oldies to get even more ridiculouly op gear

I'm not sure why everyone is suddenly inventing an "unfair 4-piece ring" in their heads. We've had five caps so far, but it only requires 3 of them to make the best ring. Why would anyone believe that a sixth cap coming out would do anything to change that?

The truly new aspects here are 1) it's a single new level, not 5 with gear sets and 2) the existing 76 opportunity is not going away when 77 comes out. The second item is the interesting one, because it means there will be two "cap item" opportunities available at once. This has never happened before in PL history, but I think it's a smart move.

It has been a problem ever since regular cap updates stopped coming out how to get new players the opportunity to earn the rare stuff and not be left out. Back when caps came out regularly, it was ok because new players could just wait for the next one. When "the next one" became uncertain, it meant they were waiting a long time, or perhaps forever. What STS is doing here is making a standing opportunity for newcomers to catch up and earn what old-timers have, at least stat-wise. They won't get the old vanities, nor the discontinued items, so that remains the old players' reward for their efforts.

This is exactly the right thing to do. Now everyone will have a chance to get their 2-piece ring (and hopefully 3-piece eventually with another cap release down the road), finally leveling the playing field. I know this rankles those who believe old players should never be able to be caught by new ones, but that doesn't make for a good game. I think the one huge mistake STS made (besides all this dodge and crit) is making everyone think they are entitled to a statistical advantage simply because they played for a longer time. These kind of rewards should have only been vanity. I am a founders helm user and I am grateful for it's usefulness to me in twinking, but it is kind of sad when people complain that it's unfair to give everyone the chance to receive equal stats via ring bonuses or whatever people are complaining about these days.

Anyway, thanks to STS for the cap anyway! I better get leveling my 68 mage to 72! 3x Please!
