Before anybody complains, I've checked google and I can't seem to find a solution.

My connection is usually at 135mbps on my pc. However just recently I keep getting 1mbps and I can't figure out the reason why. Does anybody know why and can anybody offer a solution please?

Try contacting your ISP

As Zylx mentioned, I would recommend contacting your ISP. If you are sharing the connection with other people, it is also possible that they are using a majority of the bandwidth - you could look into that as well. If anything though, your ISP is your best bet.

It's 5:35am, so there's only me using the internet at the moment haha

Also, thanks to both of you for the advice :)

Also, in case it makes a difference for this situation, I'm using a USB wireless adaptor to connect, which often seems to get ridiculously hot. And it seems to only be the PC that is having trouble (my phone works fine).

I use a usb wireless adapter and sometimes I find changing the usb slot that it's in can help, if you tell me your provider there is a way to log into your hub and change some connection setting which have helped me alot in the past.
