Level40 twink commando help

Im a level 40 twink commando, I'm curious as to what is best for 40 twinks, I have the custom level 40 set and I'm using the devouring flamethrower(40) which is decent since I don't have napalm. Is there any other gear alternative? Any other weapon + shield alternative? Thanks.

Blackstar shield + nova blaster. The primed machine gun(forgot name) is good vs primed napalm.

Before all these napalm whatever thingies. Blackstar shield + nova blaster was the best gear any commando could use.

the devouring flamethrower is not always the best weapon of choice i believe. i must say that the pink items dropped at the hive is the farthest you can get at lvl 40. if you like the stun effect of the fire, its better to get a napalm. its hard, but trust me its worth it. stats and damage wise, the napalm beats the flamethrower by a mile. its hard to get, but like i said, its worth it. i looted a primed napalm, and im on a roll on that thing. its okay if you dont get a napalm. a tempest coil and blackstar shield is a great combination, if you also want to maintain good armor. the tempest is cheaper at the auc, but napalm is reasonably expensed to the way bottom of the auc list. it has crazy damage for a lvl 40 weapon, and the dmg is almost equivalent to a lvl 48-50 pink hard 6. anyways, a tempest coil and blackstar shield is a good, cheap combo. i dont see a lot of flux cannon users. it has low dmg (not dps), but the high rate of fire makes up for it. so good cheap weapons/shields are: tempest coil (preferably primed for balanced stats) and blackstar shield, and flux cannon (again, preferably primed for balanced stats). the expensive yet very effective weapon is the napalm (preferably primed for balanced stats, but heck, any napalm is great). the cheap sets arent too cheap to some ppl. they range from 15k to 30k (approx) at auc. but if you want the best, its worth forking over some money. or time if youre going to farm for it. hope this helped.

Umm i prefer using primed flux cannon or primed tempest coil... You can beat napalm users with flux if you keep the correct distance.

u might be right. Thats why l40 twinks should get the best possible gear they can get, which is probably gonna cost major moolah. Thats why its better to go to 50
